Most useful cohesive explanation (out of 10 I watched) which converys full picture instead of disjointed description of a formality.

I can't help feeling this is repackaging common sense as science. Any normal human being with healthy psychology knows that it's best to be honest, real, open, etc. Couldn't we sum up all of this theory in just saying 'Don't be a psychopath'?

I understand your view. And I agree that for someone with high emotional intelligence and good self awareness, this might sound obvious.
But I have seen first hand that it is unfortunately not as easy, especially for emerging leaders who grow in a toxic culture or under bad leaders. They think that leading with authority, pressure, shame and blame is what it takes to be a good leader.
They follow their "role models" and might only later start to question what they can do to be more in alignment with their values and support the team better. And also build better cultures. I guess, that's why I made this video to support leaders who want to change, who want to establish better leadership and feel more confident in leading the change.

@@annekoopmann Wow, that is a great reply. Thank you! I had a blind spot around the high emotional intelligence thing. This is a genuine problem for me as ironically, despite having high emotional intelligence, I forget too often that it doesn't come naturally to some other people. Thanks for taking the time to point that out. You've really revised my opinion and taught me a good lesson. Thank you!
