Well, we kind of debated who would shoot for the entire week. Legally I was the sub permittee, so I could shoot so long as I was with him. As you may know a parent can be pretty convincing and so I ended up shooting.
@@jeff_doyle sub permittee? Ah, Ok, I am not familiar with how those tags and the process worked, so I was just curious about how you were legally allowed to be the one that harvested it.. Gotta love Dads! I wish you both many more memorable years together. Cheers!
Congrats. What a story. Big job right? Did it twice in Alaska. Hard to describe the job after he’s down. !!! I couldn’t bring it home , only the horns. The cost would have been amazing. Just to fly it to Iliumna from mulchatna river was twentfive hundred!! Then on and on. I did get to do a fillet on the fire. Was it ever good! Brings back good memories. Thanks 🙏
Fantastic!! We definitely won’t miss it! Looking forward to even more tracking videos this fall and we hope to film and post some of our own from VT and the ADKs. Best of luck this season!
I love sitting on your shoulder when you hunt. I feel like I'm hunting with you. I just wish cameras were more like the human eye. People film stuff and say they shot something at 70 yards and it looks a mile away through the camera. Your one of my favorites to watch on UA-cam. Keep them coming!!
Amazing hunt I can feel the excitement. I really enjoy your videos. I am a big woods hunter also from ny, I live to hunt the Adirondack mountains. It is my passion. I love the camera angle looking over your shoulder. What kind of camera do you use if you don’t mind me asking?
Thank you. I love the footage and camera view. Feel like I’m there with you. Best of luck this season. 10 days till muzzleloader season here in the Adirondacks!!
I use to live 300 yds from where you camped (Moose Brook). Beautiful spot! I use to work that area and have had to dispatch countless moose struck by vehicles just on Gorham Hill. One time a ginormous bull unfortunately jumped off the bridge near the DOT garage just before the turn to Jim Town Road. Massive rack. Anyway, great video Jeff! What a moment for you and your father! Good luck to you boys during deer season!
Was listening to a THP podcast with you and you said you were from NY right on the line between northern and southern zone. Where you from? Just getting back into hunting and plan on hunting public land up by pilot knob. Great videos!!
Great hunt. What an effort. Something to experience when it’s on the ground!!! I have done it twice in Alaska both bulls big. What a job !!! Y’all know what I am saying. Until you do it can’t really appreciate the enormity of th task. Congrats all around. Very well done !!
Congrats. Thanks for sharing. Moose hunting is exciting but a lot of work after it’s down. I’ve shot one, called another one in that my buddy got and hauled out 3 all together.
What an awesome hunt you do a great job filming and what a awesome memory you and your father Got to experience not much compares to the times we get in the woods with the ones we love good luck this upcoming season
It would have been awesome if your dad could have taken the shot on the moose. Definitely a hunt you'll get to remember spending time with your dad on a very special hunt, and I'm sure he feels the same way. After all, that's what's it's all about!
Great times and hunt with your dad!! Can't wait to go along with you this season. Best of luck Jeff, you keep my inspiration running!!!! Say hi to your Dad for me. Jim
Hunt of a life time!! To all those who apply for these tags without success ...... don't give up!! In 1998 I drew a moose tag in NH & in ME as a nonresident. (I live in CT) Since then I have drawn an additional tag in both states again. It can be done so just keep applying and take advantage of the bonus points.
Just met your dad in morehouse ny. Had a good talk & he turned me on to your Chanel. What a team ! Will be a follower...
I have also met him outside of Morehouse. Great guy! Shared a warm truck cab with him for a while on a cold day. Love Jeff's videos.
Awesome!! Congrats on the moose!
Confused that your father drew the tag and you harvested it? How does that work?

That’s a model 7 FS in 308, hornady outfitter 100% copper
Hi Jeff. Nice movie, see the look in your dads face, when you shot the moose, it's great 👏
Nice video. What type of camera mount are you using
I don't know how anyone could give this a thumbs down, unbelievable hunt with your Dad and being in the outdoors doing what you 2 love to do!!!
Congratulations you and your Dad great job
Great hunt! I have a question; at 19:12 you can see a yellow band(?) and what appears to be a watch(?) on your dad's rifle. Can you fill us in?
That’s a Sunnto M9 compass and live strong band. He used to attach a watch wristband compass to the rubber band.
A big thumbs up 👍 to your wife for encouraging you to return to the hunt...
For sure!
My favorite part is the Harvest growl, nothing better than a successful hunt with the ole man. Awesome work guys!!
Awesome video Jeff! Congrats on a beautiful bull! Can’t wait for the finale of Tracking 200!!
Thank you! Finale middle of next month...a big big big premiere in the works

It’s a few years old now but still takes great video. Canon M500
