Paddy O'Lantern Lol , I hope either #1 your joking and that southern Belle has an immense sense of humor, or #2 The Belle has no Internet access and rings yours. Either way I truly enjoyed that.
And that is a little piece of history right there. Whomever buys this needs to play it every day. Probably the most beautiful acoustic ever done on GOTD.
Beautiful! Great work as always. Look forward to these daily vids. Hope to visit the store one day. Keep on rockin Mark. All the best from the UK. Peace
Mark: This may have been your best video ever. I keep watching it again and again. Wonderful backstory and beautiful playing. You could feel the life force in this instrument. This guitar definitely has many stories to tell and was clearly loved for many years. I hope the next owner actually plays this guitar and does not just put it away as an investment. Thank you!
Damn sorry guys I don't have a request or a funny/smartass comment. It's the weekend, and I'm too tired to put any thought into a joke. Regardless that's a great guitar, and I'm sending lots of love to the crew at Norman's Rare Guitars. Keep it up.
I think if I can hear the tonal complexity on a UA-cam feed with cheap speakers, it must be wonderful in person. I love the players. The relatively unused prima donna guitars are great collectors, but a well played guitar is a well loved guitar, it was someone's go-to, and that usually means it plays great.
Oh my God, what a sound. Mark is right when he says all that about war era Gibsons. Who would ever give an instrument up to a retailer who probably gave them dimes on the dollars its worth? Kinda sad but good for Norm and good for us because we get to hear and see it. The visual alone is worth watching, talk about vibe. That guitar almost sounds like a 12 string when he's hitting those chords. No Martin Guitar ever sounded like that, as great as they are. The sound is orchestral, with all the harmonic overtones and deep sus- tain ... Unbelieveable. One of the best demos ever on GOTD.
Great tone, great playing. Thanks Mark. When I see these old guitars it reminds me of the Joe Bonamassa''s lyric "Rusty strings on my old guitar, speaks volumes of who we are" P.S. MORE JEN!!
Anyone else get the feeling that Mark REALLY loves a rosewood guitar? You two get a room why don't cha? But yeah...she does scream character and sounds great.
great guitar, great playing! think you guys could organize the playlists so there was one for each day, in case people just want to watch only Teles or Flat Tops or whatever?
Golden State all the way!!! LOL. Very nice Gibson! Beaten down, but still a great instrument with a very nice tone. You are a VERY talented guitar player and I always look forward to the Guitar of the Day. Cheers from Florida
I've heard about banner, don't make him angry , you wouldn't like him when he's angry, swish ,nothing but net , nice job mr. Agnesi , that thing rings like God's if he played a guitar
Ya know mark. I do watch every day. Your becoming a fixture in my life. I actually look forward to see what your gonna pull out next. Haahhahahh. What am I gonna do when you run out of guitars. You'll have to do mandolins. Hahahah. Much love from Boston. Go Durant!
Mark look how much that leather sandpaper aged that rare southern Skynyrd not Tele to's day guitar !!!!! Now its PRICELESS !!!! I want you to tell Norm what your gunna do bout it !!!!
Huge Nick Drake fan here. How about a 1960's Guild M-20 if you have one? As I've said before, despite not being an acoustic player of any particular talent, FTF is fast becoming my favourite video.
"Angel dream(number 4)" is from the soundtrack of "shes the one", which was written by his groovyness, Tom Petty. Amazing soundtrack. This guitar is amazing, simply amazing. If God kept an acoustic guitar around for when Jimmy or Stevie pop by for tea, this would be it.
Mark, you should talk about the string sizes on the guitars you review (I don't care about the brand) as well as the size pick. I'm guessing 12s or 13s on this one and a medium pick. A thicker pick with thicker strings has a completely different sound than a thin pick on thin strings.
from what i understand he's a recording artist in his own right. I've seen footage of him playing in his band with backing vocals so I'm sure he can sing to some extent
Beautiful, rosewood, banner, jumbo, vibe, what more do you need. LOVE it! Norm, please GIVE this guitar to Mark, he deserves it...
I married a southern belle and 10 years on I'm stuck with a southern jumbo.
Paddy O'Lantern Lol , I hope either #1 your joking and that southern Belle has an immense sense of humor, or #2 The Belle has no Internet access and rings yours. Either way I truly enjoyed that.
Fender jazz 62 She's a Northern gem with an incredible sense of humor
Paddy O'Lantern Good for you. May you have many more years
lol
If she see's that ur in deep shit lol
And that is a little piece of history right there. Whomever buys this needs to play it every day. Probably the most beautiful acoustic ever done on GOTD.
Great big well rounded sound ...cool and still ringing out 80yrs later !
Oh my, what a lovely sound! And I love every pick scratch on this guitar! Think of all the songs that have been played on it over the years....
A vintage banner Rosewood Southern Jumbo is my dream banner guitar to own. This is the Woody Guthrie, "This Machine Kills Fascists", guitar.
Flat top Friday is the most inspirational day of the week.
By a mile.
One of the best sounding acoustic guitars I've ever heard. Dang I love it!
That's an incredible sounding guitar so loud and so clear when you hit the high notes damn no wonder that thing got played so much.
It's as if all six strings had a contest to see which one could sound the most beautiful, and they all won.
Hey Mark, who doesn't "watch this everyday," I do. Rock on!!!
Beautiful guitar timeless . What a great sound I am in love with that guitar Mark great job on bringing out its soul.
Man, one of the most beautiful tuesdays gone I've heard. Well done sir
Love that you played Tuesday's Gone!!!! It's almost a forgotten classic!!
Beautiful sounding guitar, but I always just marvel at Marks beautiful playing.
Beautiful! Great work as always. Look forward to these daily vids. Hope to visit the store one day. Keep on rockin Mark. All the best from the UK. Peace
So beautiful. I could listen to this all day.
The overtones I'm hearing coming off that thing are absolutely stunning.......there's nothing like old guitars. Cheers Mark. Great stuff as usual.
Beautiful sounding and looking. Those ladies did a great job. Love the aged look , especially when it's real.
lots of character.
Peace and good vibes everybody. ✌🏽 hell yeah #flattopfriday!
Tuesday's Gone I was singing along with this one I enjoyed this more than I think anyone I've seen
Mark: This may have been your best video ever. I keep watching it again and again. Wonderful backstory and beautiful playing. You could feel the life force in this instrument. I watch this everyday! Ever since Phil X Friday been done I been coming here! I need my fix for awesome guitars
Damn sorry guys I don't have a request or a funny/smartass comment. It's the weekend, and I'm too tired to put any thought into a joke. Regardless that's a great guitar, and I'm sending lots of love to the crew at Norman's Rare Guitars. Keep it up.
There's always room for another of the many great Lynyrd Skynyrd tunes ... thanks Mark.
I'm in love with this guitar!!!
That acoustic rings so beautifully. Very nice!
2 days in a row of some Skynyrd. Keep on rocking it Mark.
Your song selection and playing ability amaze me every day, freaking amazing.
Oh my God, what a sound. Mark is right when he says all that about war era Gibsons. Who

Keep the basketball talk coming, Mark. You're the only reason I know what's going on in the NBA. You've almost turned me into a Cavs fan.

Mark, please do a Gibson Super 400, I don't think you have done one yet. Thanks
Golden State all the way!!! LOL. Very nice Gibson! Beaten down, but still a great instrument with a very nice tone. You are a VERY talented guitar player and I always look forward to the Guitar of the Day. Cheers from Florida
That guitar sounds like a dream.
That was gerat! Nice work Mark and Jen. Great songs - well played.
Do an acoustic flying V
I've heard about banner, don't make him angry , you wouldn't like him when he's angry, swish ,nothing but net , nice job mr. Agnesi , that thing rings like God's if he played a guitar
Sounds so nice. That top is trying to get all Monte Montgomery like.
To Mark, I am not a sports fan but you got me rooting for the Cavs. :)
Ya know mark. I do watch every day. Your becoming a fixture in my life. I actually look forward to see what your gonna pull out next. Haahhahahh. What am I gonna do when you run out of guitars. You'll have to do mandolins. Hahahah. Much love from Boston. Go Durant!
An occasional Mandolin Monday would not be unwelcome!
Love that last tune buddy
I EAT MY WORDS MARK! THE CAVS DESTROYED THE WARRIORS TONIGHT!
beautiful guitar
hammerd, no truss rod, got beer spilt in it. and plays like the angels (angles) were ringin a bell.
Trebor Trahrebe You should buy it, and write a song about it using your comment as some of the lyrics.
oh ya you can definitely hear the acute ANGLE ringing a bell... lmao
Stevie D 😋
Stevie D That Angle is a right one
Actually it's a slope shoulder
Mark look how much that leather sandpaper aged that rare southern Skynyrd not Tele to's day guitar !!!!! Now its PRICELESS !!!! I want you to tell Norm what your gunna do bout it !!!!
Jen says "yes" to the Big and Meaty
...and giggled when Mark said "Vibe!"
Huge Nick Drake fan here. How about a 1960's Guild M-20 if you have one? As I've said before, despite not being an acoustic player of any particular talent, FTF is fast becoming my favourite video.

Hate Gibsons, but I love that guitar; it sounds lovely.
That really is a diamond in the rough!!!
aaaaaaand its gone
nice one and I jen giggling always fun
That Banner really wanted to play Love in Vain, it really did.
Such a good player.
Mark, you should talk about the string sizes on the guitars you review (I don't care about the brand) as well as the size pick. I'm guessing 12s or 13s on this one and a medium pick. A thicker pick with thicker strings has a completely different sound than a thin pick on thin strings.
Awesome 🎸
Sounds great!!! Would love to know how you acquired that guitar. Looks like it was played for many years!!
You can tell Mark wants to own this one and he's gonna have to live with Bonamassa buying the thing Saturday morning.
you are having a gibson week, rock a flying v tomorrow please? great playing, btw
What tone....sheeeeiiiit!
Stunnig guitar!!!! BUT dare you shocase guitars that are not icons but still pay great!
Tuesday's goneeeeee with the wind.
Perfection😉🎸...
What is the name of that finger picking tune you start with?
This really is a great guitar, what a sound pfff... nice playing also Mark, wish I lived in the States :(
SOUNDS LIKE A GIBSON ACOUSTIC FROM 1943. HEY MARK YOU SHOULD SING SOME SONGS ON FRIDAYS, WHY LIMIT ONESELF TO JUST PLAYING?
THƐ GRƐƐK because the point of the videos is to showcase and sell the guitars
BECAUSE HE'S A GUITARIST AND NOT A SINGER?
from what i understand he's a recording artist in his own right. I've seen footage of him playing in his band with backing vocals so I'm sure he can sing to some extent
Agree
Steph Curry plays hello kitty acoustics on flattop Friday
Good work Brother 👍✌
I`ve got a woody for the woody,beautiful.
Ohh. This one was almost painful! Can't imagine what that thing sounds like in the room🎉❤️👏👍
