He was a young man here, his voice developed further over the next few years
He also wrote, produced and arranged all his music.

This was the beginning of George’s solo career. The other guy you think is so good looking is his partner,Andrew Ridgely, in WHAM the group they founded together. George’s voice only got better after this, if you can imagine that. He wrote this when he was 17. He actually gave half the writing credit to Andrew so he would be able to live off the royalties. That’s what a generous man he was.
This is repeated over and over but not true. Careless Whisper is on this first demo tape that got them the record deal. They weren't stars, they were 19. George didn't give him credit out of generosity. It was actually a merged song of the original song idea with a song that Andrew was working on. The sax line is the meledy from Georges original idea of Careless Whisper. Though the single came out after they were already stars and George was moving into a solo career, it had existed since 1980 on the original demo tape along with Wham Rap and Club Tropicana. It doesn't take away the fact that George was very generous, just this isn't an example.

According to me too! One of the most beautiful silky, velvety, pitch perfect voices to come out of a human being. Not only was he blessed with a gorgeous incomparable voice but he had the looks to go along with it. Most importantly he had a beautiful caring and generous heart. He truly left us a gorgeous catalog of music.
To think that George wrote and arranged this when he was only 17 years old. He said that he wrote this while riding on the bus from school to his part-time job.He was brilliant at writing for wind instruments!

Awww. George was damn near perfect back in the day. I was about your age when I first became a fan. He was SO gorgeous and talented. He performed this at The Apollo, Harlem once for their TV show. The black women in the audience were eating him up!
He was 22!!!!!! I think that he wrote this when he was 17/18. George was bronzed FIRE. After this, I said that he's going solo. The voice, the looks, hair LAID!!!...It was too damn MUCH! We ate good in the 80s.

I think if you’re in the states you feel like he’s underrated. Once he backed out of the American market people lost interest. He was absolutely not underrated. It is said that he is one of the UK’s most adored artist of all time. He won an award from the radio industry for being the most played artist 20 years in a row. He’s One countless awards including six either Novello awards for his writing. He’s also sold over 115,000,000 records. And as of only a few years ago he was entered into the Oxford dictionary of national biography as one of the most influential members of British history for his record breaking career and long lasting legacy. I’m grateful that the US market isn’t the only one that matters. He was absolutely relevant up until the time of his death in Europe and the rest of the world.

George Michael's voice was simply amazing. Just rich and powerful. If you really want to appreciate one of what I think is his best live performances, he did a duet with Elton John of Elton's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" and it is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the reaction!

Hello I heard your guestion about George Michael age. George was born June 25th 1963. This concert was in China.
If it was before June of 1984 then he was still 20. if it was after June 1984 then he would have been 21. He also wrote Careless Whisper and and products the album too
This was a great video of George. Yes, George could really sing! Unfortunately he died on Christmas Day 2016 at the age of 53. He started off with a friend they formed a group called “Wham” which did a lot of fun songs before George went solo. He is missed!
The group's name was
Wham. The tour is make it big. The guitarist was Andrew wridgely the other member of the group. Started out with Mel and Kim and George and Andrew. Mel and Kim had a few songs. Andrew wridgely.

George Michael's music is beyond greatness..he's my fave artist hands down. This was 84 when he was with Andrew Ridgley (guitar guy) in a duo called Wham. Wham had great pop music but George went into a huge solo career 80s 90s 2000s. (i think we can agree that he was gorgeous) Unfortunately he passed away in 2016 but I will get you onto the GM music train! Next try the songs "Faith" and "One More Try" 💜

What you don't know about George Michael is that he wrote the saxophone part and song when he was about 19 years old
Actually, he wrote this song while in high school. He was on a bus and wrote it at the age of 16/17 years of age. He mentions this in the new documentary. The saxophone was later on in the last year with Wham!

Great singers like George Michael are a rarity. He is just finding himself at this stage. Fresh faced and singing his own composition. It's a timeless romantic song. He suffered from stage fright and it was a bad case. So it makes his performance even more poignant. I remember a tv special he was singing. He walked out cold as the curtain parted. Walked to get over to the mike stand. The music started EVERYTHING YOU WANT just him and the music track. I was a nervous when I saw his hand shake slightly. He started the verse a little hesitantly
When the bridge came in he was fully connecting the lyrics and the chorus he started moving to the beat and he was off into the clouds. The audience were at first very quiet but now it was constant noise and approval. I've rarely seen a performer do such a awesome vocal live. I was never able to find the clip on the internet .after all these years I remember that little tv show.

Oh wow, I wish you could just dance right now with him - me too! Sadly George died in 2016 - I cried for weeks/months/stilldo. He is 10 out of 10 as you say :D. The gorgeous George and his Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley on the guitar here live during their tour of China - the first western band to play there. Wham! had No1s all over the world including the US; then they broke up in 1986 and George went on to be an amazingly successful solo singer.
His song writing talent and beautiful voice was gold. He was made for music, what a gift he was to us. Thank you George.

He didn’t give Andrew royalties. They wrote the song together. Andrew had the first draft and George worked on it. Read the book Wham! George and me. Then you will understand.
@@axxell1917 I have not read the book. But if it says that Andrew wrote the song the book is in error. George wrote it and told Andrew it would be a hit song. AND George made sure Andrew would get the royalties. I was going to read the book, but now I'm not too sure
@@lindam4920 It is not correct, they both worked on a song and found out it could fit nice together. They had written three songs together, wham rap, club tropicana and careless whisper when they tried to get a record deal.
