About Hotel Del Luna (호텔 델루나):
Nestled deep in the heart of Seoul’s thriving downtown sits a curious hotel, the like of which no one has ever seen before. Old beyond measure, the building has stood for millennia, an ever-present testament to the fact that things are not always what they seem. Running this hotel is Jang Man Wol (IU), a greedy, suspicious soul who has spent the past thousand years acting as the establishment’s CEO.
Cursed for a sin she can no longer remember committing, Man Wol is doomed to spend all of the eternity running this odd establishment, catering to the needs of a most peculiar clientele. Her only hope of escape is to find someone who has committed a worse sin than her own but after a thousand years, she’s beginning to lose hope.
However, things take an interesting turn when Goo Chan Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) shows up. Once the youngest assistant manager ever to work at a multinational hotel corporation, Chan Sung finds himself forced to manage the Hotel del Luna because of a deal his father made with Man Wol years ago. A stickler for rules and regulations, he’s a perfectionist to the extreme but that may be exactly what this odd establishment and its cursed CEO needs.

I just finished watching this show last night, I had tears all the way through this last episode. No other TV show has gotten to me as much as this one did.
tbh I was thinking about how uncomfortable his arm must be but this is still a really heart warming + breaking scene. his voice overs in this episode rlly got me crrryyyinnngg

"I'm going to fall asleep and leave as if I were dreaming a dream..." I bet a lot of people didn't realize that this was a euphenism for her death. She dies in her sleep in Chan Sung's arm...That's why Chan Sung was surprised when Mago visits later and offers to cut the remaining connections between him and Man Wol because he assumed all the connections were gone when Man Wol died.

i just can't get over this drama... at first it was so boring but last few episodes are just a huge blast of deep feelings... at last everyone went back to afterlife the lively hotel of ghosts became lifeless... i just can't stop crying when everyone was going back one after another.... one of the best drama my favorite 😔❤

I cried
The kdrama was amazing from the first episode it managed to grasp my attention and it grew in my heart with each episode I watch, but I don't know why this sad ending felt a little just not right, first of all it's a fictional drama not a realistic one so the writers could've managed something more like a better way to feel about it as the ending really crushed my fragile heart without sense, second as I was watching the series I don't know if anyone focused when man wol was talking to someone maybe the grim reaper or one of the dities when they were discussing what may happen to wan wol by the tree of hers were her sword got sucked in it and her time (age) froze and got cursed to be the hotel of the moon owner for her doings, I don't ever think she was really dead as she said herself in one of the episodes that she was rather "stuck" with the hotel after the night one of the dities sister tied her with the hotel and the tree she was alive by then so I dont ever think that the sister killed her when she tied her, and even for 1300 years went along i don't really think it mattered because her time and age was just paused and one of the dities said that it prevented her reincarnation, think of it as a movie were you pause it for a period of time then the only common sense thing to do is to continue it not just end it without seeing it through, so the ending in my point of view while conducting all these facts made the sad ending really unreal and forced in my eyes.
They could have looked in to the fact that as a gift to goo Chung sung efforts and mal wol's ability to finally forgive herself and who ever did her wrong they could un-pause man wol's time or they could have shown us the reincarnation of her like they did with all of man wol's past characters, to see this pure love end in such a sad way really upset me but the writers want what they want, don't really know if the ending when the hotel del luna became the blue moon hotel by some new owner made a statement that there will be a new series or story there, or it's just a way to tell us that the house of the moon must continue to raise and have a new owner, even with the forced sad ending this drama was amazing♡

Yes they did, basically Goo Chan Seong and his father was a thief and found Manwol as a child, they welcomed her in their life but of course they got separated, that's how she knew how to be a thief and grew up to be one having her own "people". It explains why in this lifetime why his dad was a thief too.
And I ruined it for myself again 😭 currently on episode 9 on Netflix and couldn't help watching the clips 😂😅

Was the last scene of them in the last ep were they recreated again?
If she drank the liquor she would live as she is and he would grow old and die. Time doesn't flow the same for the dead and the living...and she was technically a ghost, or stuck between in the middle. If she drank the liquor she would basically be stuck between the living and dead...he would eventually pass on. And I think the end is either A) his imagination of when they meet again and can live and love as normal humans or B) another life where they meet and are together. That part is open to interpretation, but the whole story strongly suggests they will meet again anyway. Bittersweet, not gonna lie, I was hoping a magic pill would just make her human so she could stay with him, but I guess that wouldn't be fair to the whole build up of the story.
