I support coco but I have to disagree. Her forehand shots have been a touch weaker compared to how it was during the US hardcourt season
@@g0gin0 disagree completely. she has less depth but the ball has noticeably more kick and spin on it. doesnt necessarily mean it's weaker.

You can see now how she has levels of play. I was worried from her last matches, but she plays the opponent now instead of just playing the same game no matter what.
Very few rallies with Navarro controlling the points with her forehand and that’s spelled trouble. Great Job Coco
Now all she needs is to learn how to use the open court to demolish her opponents which means she needs to learn how to switch up her hitting skills to improve her game. Let’s go COCO!!❤
CCG has made very very good change in her game. She has three players to overcome. If she does get them we are in for a long treat.

Navarro is good but she has a ways to go because she can compete with the top players. Coco looks ready. Probably will win her second straight slam in Melbourne. You can tell Coco hit the weight room hard in the offseason.

let us be fair coco has a new coach which is great especially brad gilbert,since he started coaching her she has won alot of tournaments.but in other to be iga she has to stop hitting the ball down the middle of the court.
She also has to boost her confidence when playing her the last match against her she looked like she barely even tried her confidence gets broken so easily when playing IGA
down the middle of the court is fine. leaving balls short in the court is what will get her in trouble. but she has plenty of time to keep improving her groundstroke depth, particularly on her forehand.

I expected Emma to have hugged her compatriot.
As per my knowledge, Emma is chill asf with everyone she's played so far and doesn't lose her temper or showcase her frustration on a large scale.
Instead of just hugging a few and being cold to the rest or especially so when one loses - being neutral and displaying a consistent demeanor to me is more important.
I like it when a player shows humility. When Emma beat Coco at Wimbledon, Coco ran up to her and gave Emma a hug. Emma' behaviour here is extremely rude.
@@trommelbiel Okay fair enough, humility is surely a commendable quality to possess. However, you have kinda ignored and not addressed the rest of the points I made in my previous reply to your orignal comment. If you've watched all of Emma's matches entirely, she's always been chill and appreciative of her players on and off court. Credits the opponents and their game and doesn't make excuses in her post match interviews.
At the end of this match, yes maybe the handshake between the two wasn't as long as you would've liked, but if you watch it back, they noticeably did share a word or two and displayed a level mutual respect. So I struggle to understand what you found so "extremely" rude. I really like Coco and her game but compared to Emma Navarro, she is more prone to lose her temper on-court and quite visually showcase her dissatisfaction when she loses which must also be acknowledged - but it finally depends on what your personally consider as rude as per your viewpoint. (Its okay if you disagree, but I've seen a lot of Emma's matches being a fan or hers for quite some time now and she usually doesn't go for hugs unless her opponent initates it lol. So not being a hugger doesn't necessarily equate to being rude. Respect and sportsmanship can be communicated in a variety of ways).
Ok l will give her the benefit of the doubt. I personally like Emma a lot. I just felt she didn't appreciate or respect the win over Coco. Coco showed more class following her loss to Emma.
She can't beat Iga from the baseline, with that forearm swing, she needs to come to the net more and, be more forceful, otherwise the result remain the same. Iga is a lot tougher than the Navaro"s of tennis.

The “old” Coco is a 15-16 year old girl. Coco is 19. She’s blossoming. Her body is likely going to mature into its most consistent form by 20-22. And to me it looks like she’ll have a build that’s a blend of Venus and Serena. She has long enough limbs and they’re muscular. Her athleticism is going to be unmatched once she’s physically an adult.
And that tummy, yikes!!
