Just bourght a HABIT - and - i just wanna say how much an old Starship Pirate on the musical sea of imagination - loves what you guy´s are doing ! Thank you .
After about 2 hours of frustration in not being able to get the blooper to receive midi messages I realized I had the TRS cable configured on my midibox for my Meris and it needed to be jumpered internally to switch the ring and tip. Works like a charm now!
Thank you for addressing the microphone used in this video. I was curious what that was. I know this is totally off topic, but here goes..... I have an old Altec ribbon that needs service. Do you know anyone whos good with servicing old ribbon mics? Thx in advance. Mood user here...just getting into it which has brought me to the rest of the line and reading manuals for pedals I don't own early in the morning and watching videos for blooper which I have yet to own
Alright Paul... I’m buying a blooper. I was hesitant bc I wasn’t sure how to sync (and I wish it was stereo haha) but I’m sold. Thanks for getting all of these folks together and for supplying us all with knowledge for the last few years :)
19:22 The chase bliss midi box has an internal jumper for both Meris and CB pedals as well! And it looks very clean and compact. The only downside is it only has 3 TRS outs, where the disaster area variant has 4
I was wondering in CALC ‘s setup, when using the pedal I have a TRS and one with a TS. Does it matter? I finally got my set up to work, but without hooking up the splitter cable. I had some midi issues, so now I will hook up everything like CALC. By pedal I mean start stop/ piano pedal?
Curious, how're you liking that Key Largo? Eyeballing one for a synth setup and to maybe incorporate a pedal or two but heard some folks say the pedal FX is very quiet when ran through it.
Nice! could you also let logic engage the record switch on the blooper using midi (and have it clock synced at the same time?) -> I believe I saw you do it in another video, but you used a Y cable and a footswitch. but perhaps it could also be done by / via logic? e.g. with punch in record?
quick question. i'm about to purchase a midi box but i dont want to waste money if it doesnt do what i'm hoping. Can the blooper change tempo via midi? and further on that topic, can the blooper's time changes with smooth speed and the other speed/pitch mod be received by a controller or DAW? Also can those changes be reflected immediately in the DAW? I am hoping to use this in logic in sync with my Maschine. I'd like the drum loops to not be going through blooper, so i can mute and unmute parts freely. But of course the two staying in sync if i decide to use smooth speed is a big question of mine. Thanks
In the case of connecting to blooper via Bluetooth, is the Yamaha Bluetooth adapter connected to the midi thru port of the chase bliss midi box? Or does it have to be connected to its midi in port?
Yep! You'll just need to use an insert cable to connect everything together. For example, if you are using a Warped Vinyl, you'll connect the TRS end of the insert cable to the Warped Vinyl. The TS end labeled Ring/Return will connect to your clock source making sure your clock source is set to send on the Tip. Then the TS end labeled Tip/Send will connect to your external footswitch. If you have any further questions/concerns please reach out to help@chasebliss.com and we'll get you taken care of!
Im quiet frustrated in running blooper via Windows Laptop > scarlett > midibox > blooper. It's the mattheo-setup. Im using FL Studio 20 as a DAW. I dont get those machines synced. I tried a lot, like the tip/ring jumpers in the midi box, TRS and Mono-cables. It's a pitty... any hint? Any one who managed syncing blooper to FL Studio? Cheers form Berlin and a happy sunday to the blooper family!
Challenge accepted, all set on midi clock sync and and transport start stop from Ableton to Blooper, quantization of record start stop to the incoming 1 count. Woo hoo! instagram.com/tv/B_RptdbHCGM/?igshid=nnh8m7bu0tt

paul you're a damn hero. this rules
Thank you, Andy! Couldn't have done it without you!!
The guy from Brighton helped me out trying to figure out CV Clock and using a keyboard sustain pedal to loop! Thank you for making this compilation

I would go see Justin every night too. The tone coming out if his sax was beautiful, pedals are the cherry on top.

Thank you for that lovely video. In case anyone wondered which iPad app that was in the last section, it is called Ribn and it is for iPhones too.

Great to see a useful setup with hardware I just happen to have laying around - Beatstep and Boss RC-50.
This was sooooo helpful, loved the diagrams and everything else about this. Thanks!!
This video answers a lot of questions - thank you!
Thank you! Glad it helps!

So can I connect the blooper pedal to my midi keyboard and use sounds from vsts within my daw to make loops?
Is it possible to have an external foot controller and midi clock at the same time ?

@@ChaseBlissAudio awesome thank you 🙏🏼
Can I purchase one of these splitter cables or do I have to make one ?
A standard TRS insert cable should do the trick.
20:44 what is this router/patchbay?
Does anyone know if a company sells the trs to midi cable CALC made?
Does the DAD one work with the splitter and foot switch
You have a great speaking voice.
Thank you, Luke! It's that mic

I’d love to see someone smart do a deep dive on the blooper being controlled my the boss ms-3. You know anyone that uses one of those?
MS-3 is my jam. Search my UA-cam channel for several videos detailing the MS-3
