  • How can we inspire the next generation of researchers to contribute to tackling environmental issues and planetary health? ZEISS employees got involved in one of our “A Heart for Science” workshops in Naples, Italy, and shared their knowledge with young minds. The joint workshop with @EMBL and their TREC public outreach program Nexus Island focused on the pressing issue of microplastics. 🌊
The participants searched for plastic particles in ocean samples, using ZEISS microscopes, and learned about sustainable alternatives in their daily lives🧬 🔬
As part of the international “A Heart for Science” initiative, ZEISS employees spark interest in nature, science and technology in the researchers of tomorrow and get young minds enthusiastic about STEM. The collaboration with organizations, in this case EMBL, is an essential part of the initiative. More information about the initiative: zeiss.ly/AHfS More information about EMBL: www.embl.org/

What is A Heart for Science? 🔬🧒👦👧
Enthusiasm for nature and technology has always been an integral part of the ZEISS' DNA. On the company's 175th anniversary, ZEISS launched "A Heart for Science" - an international initiative run by ZEISS that aims to get young people aged 12 to 18 interested in STEM. What is special about it is that any of our employees can impart their knowledge to the explorers of tomorrow.
