Unfortunately Shervin was arrested shortly after releasing his song ((Baraye)) by Islamic Republic security agency, his is in police custody now.
He wrote and sang about the current situation in Iran , after death of Mahsa Amini who was in police custody for not following women dress code in Iran and having loose Hijab.
People are marching in the street for justice and Shervin's song is about his feelings and support of protesters.
Very soon his song becomes THE SONG OF PROTESTERS and widely spreading across the country also in social media and Iranian community abroad
He is a brave young artist
who deserves this Award
