  • I restored this upcycled toy car , made from an old wooden coffin plane and vintage Meccano parts. Enjoy the restoration video !!
This is a large coffin plane that was been upcycled to create this beautiful roadster car. All other parts are old Meccano parts (wheels, steering wheel, headlights, front bumpers, rear bumper). When I first saw this toy , I realized it needed to be restored because it would be a successful restoration project and because it will be a piece to be placed in my collection. But ended up donating it to a little boy. Anyway, a lot of time has been spent on this restoration video to create a nice video that you'll enjoy to watch. I'm really pleased with the results, the restoration gone perfect and I'm happy. Probably this piece is unique in the world because it is handmade, I would have liked to know more about the time when it was created, the age of the parts from which it was built.
I spent almost 4 weeks in this restoration and I spent almost 35 euros in the products that made this restoration to be perfect.
I like to make restoration projects, it's my passion and I'm open to hear your opinions in the comment section. Feel free to write what you think.
So, guys, thanks for watching and hope you'll enjoyed the restoration! ahhhh, and don't forget to subscribe !! Cheers !!

I love your channel! Especially the fact that you don’t put ‘aSmR’ in all your titles... all these restoration channels just being ruined with 4 letters... like-
We get it! There’s no speaking in your video! You already have you UA-cam account as ‘aSmR restoration’ or whatever!

That's actually pretty frickin cool. UA-cam has this inherent ability to either make the world seem gargantuan and almost endless. Orrr, it can make this planet seem like an itty-bitty, teenie-weenie spec that houses around eight billion humans, and they all live on your street.

Yeah all the metal parts are Meccano from the early 1960s or even earlier and you probably know the wooden body is an old hand plane the wedge would have held the blade
The fenders and flat pieces would have been green originally

Great job on this one, it looks really good! I'm always fascinated watching these transformations, but I'm always curious how much time these videos take. You make it look like it's done in a matter of a few hours, but I've done really minor sanding in the past and that ALONE took hours. That'd be my only suggestion on what these videos need, and that's really minor because they are all really good.

The fairy tale of the old plane.
Once upon a time there was an old plane that had been used with respect for years. When the planer was old and worn, it was lovingly converted into a toy car. For many years the car was played with but eventually ended up in a forgotten corner. Then the toy was found by 'Cool Again Restoration', who recognizes and appreciates character. He restored the car so that it shone like new and to spoil us subscribers, he filmed everything as professionally and passionately as he restored the toy. He gave the plane-car to a child and with all his work he brought a smile to a boy and thousands of viewers on UA-cam.

    I have this crazy idea.
Sometimes I think that objects can become infused with feelings.
Some might have a difficult past and carry a lot of unpleasantness...
But in the case of a hand made toy which was kept for a long time I think it can go the other way.
I feel like the love which went into making it (probably for a specific child) and the love invested in it by the child who owned it has not gone. It's only hidden and it takes a little care to let to let it shine brighter than before.
When I watch videos like this, I feel like it's not such a crazy idea.
also thanks for treating the snails well, you are an amazing person
