I'm not feeling inspired by much of the makeup releases right now. The holiday releases were far too early and now we're in this weird end of the year lull. But your content always brightens my day ❤️
I had a Lancome Foundation that I bought 3 of (and have used them all up) before they discontinued it. I sadly have had to move on with my life for base products. Pastels have no purpose in my wardrobe or makeup. I've got enough makeup stocked up that I can survive whatever tariffs might be headed our way. I don't typically buy a lot of Spring products due to the lack of affinity for pastels, etc. I'm most interested in seeing what Byredo does for it's 18 pan palette next year and if Guerlain makes an eyeshadow palette that people want to wear, not simply own and look at. If I saw Chantecaille's Pinto eyeshadow on a secondary market, I might snag that.
The Visiart hairline pallet does sound very cool I’m intrigued… I’m very interested in the Dior Spring collection…the Eadem gloss is soooo good it stays on for hours I have the shade fig so so beautiful 🤩
Great video Jennifer. Glad that you’ve decided to become more selective about future purchases and reviews. I look forward to Dior’s spring collection so I hope you will review some of the items. As far as handbags go, I used to purchase “it” bags until I bought one that I hated using (it was a Givenchy and it was difficult to find anything inside it). That realization put an instant stop to that addiction. Now, I only use totes that make it easy for me to quickly access my phone, my keys and my wallet, which I tether securely inside the handbag. Cheers!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates pastels. I'm a fall/winter girlie so Spring makeup is my personal beauty hell 😂. Summer I don't mind as much since I can wear little makeup and just pop on a red lipstick.
Hi Jen- you look really amazing! The hair color is glowing! I’ve been eyeing that Viseart palette- I heard the formula is creamier than a lot of their other ones. So.. perhaps I will pick that up. Love the shadow you’re wearing today. I wish Sephora carried Viseart. I got the Eadam Lip butter product, too, on your recommendation- I really like it! I dont generally love lip gloss anymore, but this is a real nurturing formulation! I will repurchase it for sure! It’s bitter cold here in Michigan too! 🥶 Stay warm!
I am definitely going to be shopping the Murakami collection. In fact my SA called me right as I was watching this video lol. That collection really defined luxury for me when I was young and I was sad to see it go. However I was a little disappointed that they didn't really reimagine anything. The collection feels very copy and paste without a whole lot of creativity. This is definitely a hail mary money grab from LV -something highly commercial right after holiday to boost Q1 sales. And I guess it's working cause I am still shopping! 😅
I completely agree with you! It feels very copy and paste and I wish there had been a little more creativity but again, as you said I’m attempting to pick up a bag 😂
I am glad you are not buying it all !You know what would be fun. Take the biggest releases in the past. Like each month what was the best kinda ?? Do a video. I LOVE MY LANCÔME TIENT IDOLE FOUNDATION !!! This will be pricey. I’m sure. Also again. I’m saying they want the younger crowds with all the sparkles , glitters and colors. I LOVE THE COLOR foundation match. I’m a tad darker than you (only because of sun )
@alllfeisty I just saw a preview of the Chanel spring summer....love those! Not pastel I think 😂 there is a Mauve Sucre and a Menthe a l eau single eyeshadow but the palette Jeux de Lumières is more orangey and sunny 😂 Dior pastels noooo thanks! Dont love those! 😊 thank you for the video!!❤❤❤ keep warm! Here it will be cold next week....brrrr
@Allfeisty wauw!! Looking forward to your review!! When would it come in Europe?? The Holiday Collection came very late here....i think your review of it was a month eralier then I could buy it! Enjoy!!
I like the cool foundation better on you. I think it just adds a bit more color to your complexion. If you are wearing more warmish eyeshadows maybe the neutral shade would “mix” better. FYI.. I hope to see you in that fabulous bracelet “in person” from your perfume bottle before 2025. ;) That scarf color ensemble you had on the other day and your new headband are all beautiful on you. Not sure if they would clash.. but just thoughts. 😊 I hope the new Tom Ford doesn’t lean too warm in-spite of the “peach” name.
Next year, I’ll grab more viseart over the other stuff for sure! So many eyeshadows are not worth the money anymore! My Dior this year had too much fall out. I like my Prada holiday, Natasha, Danessa, Cle De Peau and Chauntecaille. Some for fun, some for work. I also hate pastels unless metallic. So I’ll grab the DIOR highlighters which I can use for everything, even eyeshadows.
I'm really interested in the spring Maximizers 👀 the coral pink!! But also the white pinky shift and yellow one. And I'm super curious about the Winter collection from Chanel they have been sneaking
Jen, you're not alone, I'm not a fan of pastel shadows either. I feel they wash out my pale complexion. What bothers me about those Dior Quints is that they are embossed the same as the Backstage Range, but slightly larger. Even that deathly mauve powder has this embossing too. Mauve highlighters have been around for quite sometime, yet I haven't seen them in liquid form. I own a few in powdered form, even purple Glow Blushes. I can't work out why anyone experiencing winter would want to appear even paler by using a deathly mauve powder? I'm curious as to why you think the Maximisers are in different packaging? I got mine out and held one to the screen and they looked exactly the same. I'm not even interested in the nail polish, as Dior have just released a pale blue and icy pink from the Plan de Paris Collection which I bought. More money saved. I'm a tad confused as to why you want to buy faux shearling slides from a luxury brand instead of the real thing from the many well-known brands who specialise in making footwear in leather/suede with shearling lining. I have Raynaud Syndrome that causes my feet to feel like ice at any time of year, so I have endless extremely well-made knee-high boots, calf-high boots, ankle boots, slippers and even own hiking boots that are lined with sheepskin. They are designed so well that I recieve compliments, even on my hiking boots! I just don't understand the need for them to come from luxury brand names. It won't make them any better. You stated that you were wanting "unique" items, yet they are everywhere. If you're going to be only looking at luxury brands, you won't find anything unique there, only mass produced items with logos slapped on so that everyone looks the same. I buy leather items from a designer who makes limited releases of clothing. They are extremely comfortable and so well-made that they come with a lifetime warranty. During a recent sale, I purchased three pair of leather pants, (stylish and classical designs), along with a reversible jacket in pale grey with soft long shearling on one side. I will never see another wear these items, which shows how rare they are. I even own one-off pieces too. Everything that I have bought from this one designer is tailored to perfection and she has even offered to tailor make something if desired. These look amazing on, yet I don't require a brand name to validate these as being luxurious. They speak for themselves. I have no desire to look like everyone else or to advertise a luxury label. I suppose I just don't understand why you would want the same items as endless others and not wish to be an individual. Honestly, that Fendi bag looked as if it had black hairy caterpillars crawling over it. I'm not meaning to be offensive, only stating what came to me when the picture appeared. Even if I was obscenely rich, I still wouldn't want to buy from these luxury brands as I want to be myself, not look like anyone else. When I see yet another person with a Cartier Love Bangle, the first thing that comes to mind is whether it's another fake. I own a stunning jewellery collection, the stones may not be as large as the wealthy can afford, yet they are individual pieces and one is the only piece on this continent. None of my pieces are 'fashion jewellery', nor are they from a luxury brand. The point is again, that they don't need to be as their beauty speaks for them instead. I started making and designing clothes whilst still in single figures of age. I made my first jumper at only 9yrs old. I'd be more than happy to design you a jumper/knitwear item if you're willing to go into the thousands!😉 Only kidding, I'd never charge anyone that much and have happily made items for free. My first ongoing casual job whilst in High School was in fashion retail and I eventually worked for a manufacturer at the front desk. All through my life, I've been complimented on my attire. I've never desired items from luxury brands and feel that I would be paying obscene prices just to advertise for them, which I couldn't do. If displaying logos is your thing, that's fine and I have no issue with what you choose to do. I'm simply trying to understand the 'why', that's all. I'm serious about the offer to design you a item of knitwear or to make something from a pattern when the weather cools down again. It makes me happy to see others wearing what I've made. Hope you understand my point and know that I'm simply curious about something so alien to myself. I'm now off to soak in a nice warm bath, light a beautiful candle and wallow in the salts from the Dead Sea, and I don't have to travel anywhere, only to my bathroom. My Christmas decorations are up and I deserve to relax. Take care, Kris.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨
Your videos are just so on point with what I want to see and hear about. The Prada cushion looks interesting...with high SPF plus niacinamide, I wonder if it will big-time oxidize? And not just on the face, could be use it up in 3 months because the whole cushion will oxidize. Like don't open it unless I use it up right away. The TF eye shadows and the Dior are on the new trend. The trend is little to no eye makeup, with a stronger lip. The two eye looks are the Ethereal and the Casual Aphrodite. The Ethereal is the pastels, frosty angel dust makeup everyone is is screaming early 2000s about. The Casual Aphrodite is really just like pre-Raphaelite, pale or slightly bruised eyelid. One variation is the Angel Eye which is satin or matte, with lid shade the color of your skin, and two shades just slightly deeper framing the lid. The Tom Ford quad is a pale skin Angel Eye quad. One person who does Angel Eye really well is Sofia , I'm not sure if she doing it on trend or because she is pale and just wants a minimal eye makeup look. You would look wonderful with the Casual Aphrodite, with your red hair and full lid real estate. 🌺🎄💋🍷
I recently stocked up on Supergoop's unseen & glow sunscreens when Supergoop had a 20% off (or maybe 25%?)sale. Also one- year supplies of Cliniques's makeup remover. I also stocked up on Guerlain's waterproof eyelines on 04 Plum Peony when Bloomingdale's had them on 15% off and these eyeliners have never gone on sale. I wanted to stock up on Sisley's Black Rose skin infusion cream but it is still >$200 after 15%, so I got just one. It was about 30% off when I bought it the first time at the San Franciso duty-free and have since fallen in love with.
Hi Jennifer, Its Summer here in Australia 🎉. Maybe the TF quads have ours and NZ's Autumn in mind? Who knows, but def very earthy shades. I am not a fan of pastels either, I really don't think they suit anyone, except for maybe very young teens?? Maybe the market they are chasing now.... Its okay to have a salty day, I have had a whole week of saltiness! 😂. ❤
That’s what I have been trying to say for the last couple months. All the luxury brands are gearing towards brining the younger crown in. With the sparkle, and glitter , and colors It’s their marketing , and it’s sad the mature women or the tried and true are being put in back !! ❤
Going forward more collections are just gonna be exploiting the existing IP/branding until eventually AI is the designer. Why pay a designer? I own many original Murakami pieces I bought in LV store in the early 2000s that I still use regularly. The funny thing is most people didn’t even know who Murakami was and you could just walk in and pick up these pieces if you shopped early. Now of course I’m worried they’ll just be direct replicas abut Murakami designs have already been widely copied in Japan on all kinds of items. Sad to see even being treated like commodities. Some will say it’s democratizing but not at these prices!
Hi Jennifer, I’m a new subscriber, and have to ask about your brows. Do you have them micro bladed? I’m focused on getting mine in shape! I don’t generally use skincare from my fav luxury makeup brands - I tend to use so-called Medical Grade products. Like you, I’m a fan of lazer treatment and will be seeing a new Dermatologist tomorrow. Interested in what procedure you’re planning. Thanks! Maureen
So many repeats innn no luxury lately. And the LV murikami? I may be in the minority as don't care for it first time out-I'm sure it targets a more youthful market and I was forty the first release and it was a pass. And it certainly is not attracting a quiet luxury market. And you are correct about cle de peau,Sisley and I also have enjoyed Natura Bisse-they have a tinted moisturizer that lets me skip foundation on a casual day(it does something special to disguise my lines)! A no pastels for me! Love you're content and reviews🥰
I’m with you on the insipid pastels 🤢 I’ll get the TF for the green, skip the Suqqu until I use what I have (similar colors) & ick to matte/velvet lips 😖 Got a 10 year supply of perfume, so pass on those. 🙄
I'm not feeling inspired by much of the makeup releases right now. The holiday releases were far too early and now we're in this weird end of the year lull. But your content always brightens my day ❤️
Yeah 👀it feels odd?!! Mid Nov we were already done and it wasn't even Advent yet 😅it's odd
Thank you so much!
I love your new holiday intro! Thanks for the shout-out. Wishing you a happy and healthy holidays! 🥰
You are so sweet! Wishing you the same!
I think the cool toned shade of the Prada foundation is more flattering on you
I really love the holiday introduction. It’s so nice . ❤❤
You are so sweet! I am so happy to see you here.
Thank you Jennifer for your video I've been very sick and you truly brightened my day!
I hope you feel better!!!

+1 I am also excited to see what Byredo will do next year with their big palettes! They are amazing! ❤
The Visiart hairline pallet does sound very cool I’m intrigued… I’m very interested in the Dior Spring collection…the Eadem gloss is soooo good it stays on for hours I have the shade fig so so beautiful 🤩
The Eadem gloss is great! I love that shade, too.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates pastels. I'm a fall/winter girlie so Spring makeup is my personal beauty hell 😂. Summer I don't mind as much since I can wear little makeup and just pop on a red lipstick.
Your skin looks gorgeous in this foundation! Thanks for the video!
A thumbs up 👍🏻 for that wonderful opening!
Glad you liked it!
Love the festive intro xx

Thanks for the compliment! And yeah, that palette is incredible, I'll definitely do a review soon.
So happy the Dior parfume solids are being released in the US. Now all we need are the tone-ups. TFS 😊
I totally agree!
That LV bag is a repeat. I actually loved that design, so hopefully, I can grab accessories I didn't get last time.
Also still love my La Mer despite what anyone says-when my skin is over tight and dry it never fails to calm things down!
love my la mer. just wished they hadnt the products and discontinued my favorites
Also still love my La Mer despite what anyone says-when my skin is over tight and dry it never fails to calm things down

Hi, new subscriber in the past couple weeks! Loving your content! ❤💄❤️ I am interested in all the make up content you’re inspired to create!
Thank you!
… the Tom Ford quads look like fall to me too 🤨🧐

The luxury prices have become ridiculous to begin with. Maybe it's time for a reality check for luxury brands
Wonderful,nothing excites me , so money saved 😅 Have a blessed day🙏❤️

DIOR Blooming Bouquette is my fav and I just finished the roller ball for my bag. Might grab that.
Finding Ferdinand lipgloss is great. It’s like the Armani IMO with a great applicator. (Thorn is my fav.👌)
Thanks Jen for the chat and inspiration! 🎉🫶💄💋💁♀️

that could totally be it. There us definintely a global market.
And yes, absolutely, the younger market is certainly seeing a focus from brands.
Going forward more collections are just gonna be exploiting the existing IP/branding until eventually AI is the designer. Why pay a designer?

Hi Jennifer, I’m a new subscriber, and have to ask about your brows. Do you have them micro bladed? I’m focused on getting mine in shape! I don’t generally use skincare from my fav luxury makeup brands - I tend to use so-called Medical Grade products. Like you, I’m a fan of lazer treatment and will be seeing a new Dermatologist tomorrow. Interested in what procedure you’re planning. Thanks! Maureen
i do get them microbladed. the last time was early this year.
I'm planning BBL/Moxi. I'll certianly bring you guys along.
Well, they look great! And I just saw a new Derm today and she referred me to another who specializes in lazer work. I’ll keep you posted !
@ Thanks for your candor. My Dermatologist referred me to a laser specialist. I’ll be scheduling that consultation asap.
worst nightmare!😂😭💀
So many repeats innn no luxury lately. And the LV murikami? thank you!
I'm looking forward to the rest of the Celine lipsticks to come out and also the new YSL blushes. Everything else looks blah right now.
💜💜💖
Hi Ellie 😍🥰❤💕😘🤗 she’s precious 😀😆
I’m with you on the insipid pastels 🤢 I’ll get the TF for the green, skip the Suqqu until I use what I have (similar colors) & ick to matte/velvet lips 😖 Got a 10 year supply of perfume, so pass on those. 🙄
And Gucci had a shearling slide(birkenstockish)
thank you!
Loewe has unique bags!
Not buying Suquuu 😮😮😮😱😱😱😱
i know!!!!
