I’m in the minority that loves the loose Chanel eye shadow 😂. It lasts better than any other formula on my lids. The way I use it is by tapping the sponge with my brush and then applying to the lid. Works great for me and love them for travel 🤷♀️
I bought them all and LOVE them too! They give an airbrushed finish that performs better than anything else in my massive collection. I am right there with y’all.
Thank you for sharing - and for being brave enough to demo these "failed" products!! You look fine, but there are surly better products for you! My worst purchase this year were the Chantecaille Future Skin Gel Foundation and Sheer Glow Rose Face Tint. They are VERY irritating because of the unnecessary bontanicals (fragrances) they contain: Rosemary, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool. Total waste of money.
Chantecaille Future Skin foundation doesn’t contain Citronellol, Geraniol and Linalool. This foundation contains Rosemary flower extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract and Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract. All of them are natural ANTIOXIDANTS (not “unnecessary fragrances” and you should read about them) with soothing, wound healing, hydration properties and other benefits for the skin. Actually it is the only luxury foundation I know made without fragrance, oils and other nasty ingredients. Probably you are allergic to one or more plants and in this case is bad luck because this is one of the best foundations on the market. The majority of the luxury brands have foundations full of fragrance, essential/synthetic oils and many other irritants and it was very hard for me to find a good one. I have rosacea and a very reactive acne prone skin and this foundation is extremely good for my skin (no irritation, natural look and flawless skin). But definitely not everything is good for everybody and good luck to find the best foundation if you didn’t find yet.🙂
Oh, dear. I absolutely love Jones Road WTF. I have very dry skin and I also like light coverage foundations. The smell - well, I have gotten used to it. Now it just smells herbal to me.
I agree with you that Chanel blushes have nothing to impress and the Hermes Atlas shade is weird, but the quality of its powder is amazing. Darker skin tone, like those whose Chanel foundation shades run between 20 to 40, may find that shade nicer on their skin than fair skin tone like us.
I will probably get hate for this so I apologize upfront …. I cannot stand Jones Road products. The smell of the face balms is hideous like it’s spoiled from day one. If I am forced to watch one more Jones Road advertisement on UA-cam I’m going to stick a fork in my eye. Sorry!!!!
I will be interested to see how the new rose bronze blush stacks up to the original. I just used my 20 plus year old mocha today and it worked beautifully . Great topic as always
You NEVER LOOK HORRIBLE Jen. You’re beautiful ❤. Love #saltyJen. So here for it. I feel, again I’ll say, I feel luxury now is gearing towards the younger peeps. I own no Jones Road. I hand a 3 piece KW blush bronzer highlighter. Omg it smells horrible
THIS. This is the thing I’ve realized with time. That limited edition really makes consumers think it’s special and coveted, like we are so lucky to be the few to own them, only to find that the quality is oftentimes subpar to the permanent line things. Of course this isn’t all the time, but I’ve started to notice this more. Plus the quality of makeup all around has just declined as well.
I’m with you on all of your rejects in today’s video. I’ve tried most of them - except for Jones Road. Love and admire Bobbi Brown, but the new Jones Road products don’t really appeal to me. Love and admire Gucci Westman - and purchased both of her lip compacts - didn’t use either. It wasn’t convenient to use my fingers or a brush on the go. Hits and misses - that’s really what you get with all makeup.
I think that Westman Atelier compact lipstick is horrid. You are absolutely correct in saying the shades don’t suit anyone. I also hate the fact that I would have to carry around a lip brush. Lastly it’s too bloody heavy for my bag!. Jones Road, WTF Foundation, 🤢. I have normal to dry skin. In Southwest Florida it turns into a greasy mess. Plus mine arrived spoiled…or so I thought. I was told by the company the natural oils had separated and I should just mix it. I raised enough of a stink that they had me ship it back and gave me a refund.
Thank you so much for this fails video. Unfortunately, one of my recent fails is the new Valentino studded lipsticks. While they feel great.. I was shocked to see it merging way outside of my lip line. I must say.. I have NEVER had that happen before. The main reason I need a lipliner is because so many lipsticks are lighter than my own lip shade. So like I need it for definition.. not for keeping my lipstick in the lines. Love the Prada and Hermes and Tom Ford, of course. I am struggling to get the Chanel liquid eyeshadow, Milky Way, color on my lid before it dries. 🤷♀️ I don’t have issues with the YSL, or the RMS, MAC pots, Tom Ford pots, Charlotte Tilbury pots, etc.
omg hilarious video bravo! 🎉 I actually love most of those products, but the video is so good 😅. The Chanel mascara is one of my faves, BUT it's for a natural look, two coats tops. Ok my worst products, hmmm. All-dimethicone foundations like Chanel Sublimage (the pump bottle). Trinny London pot eyeshadows (gone in an hour on my lids). Chantecaille bronze face tint (jar), who is this for, and what purpose? Suqqu Lip Fogs, they turn thick like cake frosting, huge mess to get all the product out, you have to pull the stopper way early. Products in metal tubes like RMS Eye Lights and Mara lip gloss, a slight squeeze you get too much out and can't stop it.
Wow. You pulled no punches with the worst product list. You were not playing 😂😂 😂 I love this and love your honesty . To be honest these products weren’t much of a surprise because during your original reviews of these products you were honest😂😂😂
Hi Jen, You don’t look “terrible” on camera and actually you look good.🙂 But I tried some of the products you mentioned and I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
That Dior Powder is crazy. I could see that big blotch of glitter on your forehead way before you zoomed in. Don't these companies test their products on a panel of real people?
My worst product - which is not a bad product it just did not work well with my skin care routine which my skin seems to love so I have to prioritize that - was the urban decay facebond bond foundation - because it has niacinamide and alcohol in it and there is some niacinamide and some vitamin c in one or both of my my moisturizers it was to much for my skin and irritated/dired out patches of my skin fairly significantly
No offense but I think you pay for the name brand and packaging. I've used high end and drug store and find their the same. A lot of times the cheaper ones are better. Saves a ton of money. But to each their own. 😁
How brave taking one for the team. Although I don’t think you could ever look bad you’re beautiful no matter what. ❤
Salty Jen is the best, so refreshing 😂 ❤
😮Omg! The powder... I was thinking I was hallucinating seeing the glitter on your face.

Love them too, fabulous for textured lids
I bought them all and LOVE them too! They give an airbrushed finish that performs better than anything else in my massive collection. I am right there with y’all.
Me too! I just tap my brush on the sponge and apply to my eye. I adore them.

This video is gold! Thanks!
Great video theme again Jennifer! Thank you for sharing your regrets.

Lol I agree! And I feel like she is just creating Bobbi brown all over again, but with a much smaller budget
To me smells like cooking oil. That has gone bad.
@@elizabethbc8293 YES!!!!!!!
@@elizabethbc8293 😂 exactly
That doesn't sound very appealing 😂@@elizabethbc8293

shocked at the dior powder - it looks like pure glitter 😱
i’m beginning to think most limited edition dior products aren’t that great.

A reminder to use up that Westman thing

Chanel just released new blushes! Quietly

The final insult to these awful products is how much you paid for them.
That is VERY true
Wow, a few Chanel products made your list.
Hi Jen,
You don’t look “terrible” on camera and actually you look good.🙂 But I tried some of the products you mentioned and I couldn’t agree more.

😂 I love your salty videos
Wow the dior “ powder “ and the eyeshadow in a boddle 🤨🧐🤨

Lol, I would have liked to see the prices of these LUXURIOUS fails, so we can be salty about the whole thing with you. 😮😮😮
*Bottle*
