Do you think if you got US size 9 would the fit be better for you? I always have to get my true to size US size 7. Anything larger/bigger than a US size 7 cause the shoe to slip/ be sloppy for me.
For me the midfoot would likely have been more uncomfortable, but at the same time, the position of the rocker may have suited better. If I were to buy again, I'd still go with the US9.5 because I'd rather not cram my feet.
I don't care about the carbon plate, I just care if it fits. The regular Mont Blanc is too unstable and my foot rolls off the side easily, this looks like it might be better as it has the rubber around the toe box.
@@barefootrunreview Wouldn't your toes hit the front of shoe all the time? My foot length is 26.2cm. Via Olympus 2 in US9 almost gave me a black toe, but Vanish Tempo in US9.5 fits my feet comfortably.
Interesting. There could be a few things at play here. How I performed my measurements. How you performed your measurements. It's tricky. The best thing I can say is that I normally wear a US9 in the newer Escalantes and Superior, Lone Peak. So you could use that as a reference
@@FDNRunningandMotivation-ws1hdyeah interesting. I think the consensus was that it was poor. But at the same time. It's awesome that it worked for you!

You got it! Fit comes first!
On point with the midfoot, too narrow.
The outer edge of the midfoot. My foot over hangs the base of the shoe a little.
What size are your feet?
I tend to go for US9 in most Altra shoes and the length of my foot is 26.7cm.

Definitely NOT worth it. The regular Mont Blanc is better and also faster, the only use for the carbon plate is as a rock plate
Btw, the old MB heel was just perfect for me

The carbon plate acts to evenly disperse the weight of the foot into the lower foam as a primary function. The rock plate feature is secondary.
I agree the OG MB was a great trailrunner..🏃♂🏃♂🏃♂
It seemed to split the community then!? :)
