I think you should also mention pity manipulation technique, where at 79/80 pity and you don't want to win 50/50 to get A1 or A3, and don't want to waste flame golds or pull more to buy A2 or A4, you pull on the other concurrent banner. Then you continue pulling on the banner of the weapon you want to get more flame golds to buy it

@@maskedicon may really come in handy since frequently there are more than 1 banner at a time. Suppose you are getting Anka to A1 but you don't want to win 50/50 and waste flame golds, just do 1 pull in like Zeke banner. Then you pull more for flame golds to buy Anka. You don't lose flame golds and you also have a 50% chance to get Zeke

Read this if you are coming from Genshin: the SR characters (weapons) in TOF are just beginner characters and NOT equivalent to 4 star characters in Genshin. 4 star characters in Genshin may be equivalent to TOF SSR characters from the permanent banner (which is easy to get since 1 free pull per daily "commission" and trackable in the map). These may be weaker compared to those in the limited banner but it doesn't matter if you're a casual player who don't care about META

I didn't know new players could choose between dps, fortitude or benediction weapons at the 30 pulls pity. Interesting tough I guess 99% will choose dps lol
I have to comment, however, that I wouldn't have used the word "pity" when explaining the hidden guarantee system. Pity pulls are associated with the 80/80 ones only, and the guarantee system doesn't discriminate between pity or off-pity ssr pulls. It doesn't matter if your last two pities were limited chars or not. What counts is your last two SSR pulls, pity or not. If your last two pity (80/80) pulls were permanent characters and then you get an off-pity ssr, it will be the limited one (assuming you got no off-pity ssr before: your last two ssr were the pity ones). But then next pity (80/80) pull is NOT guaranteed to be the limited char anymore
So the simplest way to explain it is "you can't get three permanent or three limited ssr weapons in a row, pity or not"

I have a case where the hidden pity didn't work.
I pulled on Rei banner, I got Zero and Huma at 79 and 80 respectively so I had to continu to pull till 60/80 in order to buy Rei from the shop (100% sure because I screenshot Zero and Huma to my friend getting trolled by Rei but don't have proof of banner record themselve because banner records doesn't show for previous banner).
I didn't pull Jiyu or anything in between and so I supposed I was guaranteed Roslyn with 20 pull except that I got Crow at 80/80 (nothing before, this I have proof as it's current banner), I end up getting her at 23/80 but still should've gotten her at previous 80/80.

@@__Newones ​none that's why I was so sure to get Roslyn but got surprise instead.
I skipped Jiyu (because she's boring and compete for Asuka/Yan miao slot) and the whole flame rerun, Plotti because it's just glorified hold atk gameplay, Feise because she's already A1 and benched (which I've never use to begin with because Lan was better at low investment), Liu Huo because she's already A1 too and doesn't scale with advance (unless A6)
