This was really good. The b-roll and the little filmer details with the broken lens and the lights going out really add another layer of dopeness to the edit. Well done sir
Thank you so much for the kind words Justin. I really appreciate you watching the video. Let me know if I can help you out with any tricks you had in mind. Maybe I can explain some stuff. 🔥🤘
This video is amazing! I love your style, both in the tricks and in the filming and editing. The precense of B-rolls was quite a lot and that added soo much to the overal vibe of the video! Also, your polejam rock to fakie at 2:20 was out of this world! 🔥🔥 Cheers, a fellow EaSkater 😅
Woa, thanks man. Really nice of you to say that. I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video. Yeah I'm just trying to get like a little theme going with each edit, just to make it a bit more fun and flowing. More to come! I love polejams haha! 🛹🔥
Thank you so much bro! Really do appreciate it. I'll keep messing around in Session for sure. There will be more stuff coming. Happy to be a part of the community.
Thanks dude! I appreciate the kind words. I will be making a settings video and a filming video soon! Currently with a broken arm so things have been tough ha!
Thank you so much bro. I appreciate the love. It's all good, enjoying the process and building. Also thanks for sticking around with the sub! As for streaming - yeah I've thought of that. You'd be down to check it out? I do have a twitch from a while back. What do you think, stream on UA-cam or twitch nowadays? 🛹🔥
Thank you! I appreciate it. Yeah, hardcore+manual catch and I have tweaked a bunch of stuff even more. Some settings I adjust on the go with certain spots. I'm going to go over my settings in a separate video soon if you're interested in that.
Thanks man! I appreciate the kind words. I think my background helps - I consider myself a skater (low skill level) and also I work with cameras so I know what holding a camera feels like and what rolling around with a camera feels like. I have filmed a fair share of homies skating. I'm slowly working on my take of a "filming" tutorial for Session so that's coming out in the future. I'll try to give you some main points. These are just my personal thoughts on what makes a Session clip look good. There are no rules and everything does not have to look super real. I just like things to be grounded in some sort of reality. 1. The filmer in-game should be considered a "real" person navigating the same terrain as the skater. Curbs, stairs, banks and all that should limit and affect how and where the filmer can move. It's up to you to give yourself some "rules" on how good the filmer is - if a pro films another skater it's probably not a big deal for them to ollie a 4 stair with the camera in a line. BUT that ollie with the camera definitely should look like a dude ollieing a stair set with a camera in hand. The image/clip can not just float. Just an example. 2. Make the clip look imperfect - add lots of movement and imperfections that make it seem like a person is holding the camera. Cameras shake a lot if the sensor / lens is not stabilized or the camera is not on a tripod or a gimbal - depending on what camera YOU decide the filmer is using. There are many tools in the replay editor to achieve this. Tweak the camera angle a bunch when the filmer is "pushing" in a line and add camera shake. If you want your filmer to film a drone angle then that should look pretty clean and stable. In this case lose the fisheye angle and use something more narrow. Keep the horizon level - that's how drones are when operated properly. FPV drones are another thing completely. As I said, there are no rules to this so just have fun and think about what looks good to you.
