- I said something along the lines of "Afterburner next week". By Afterburner, of course, I meant Legend of Mana. I suddenly remembered I had this song on the back burner, and everything lined up perfectly: Had some time off from work, had access to an awesomely well-made midi by Zagro, and a pretty good excuse to do nothing but write music. Thanks to all of that, I was able to finish this project in just a little over 24 hours. Works out pretty well, too, since my weekend's completely booked up and I'll be away both Thursday and Friday due to work.
Anyway, for once, I think this arrange kicks ass. There are a few niggles here and there, synths being one and the orchestral stuff being another, but overall I'm really happy with how this turned out and even happier with how quickly I was able to finish it.
Afterburner next week. (for real this time. ;p)

You've got a remix of Darkness Nova?! Holy cow I can't believe this has been sitting here for two years and I never saw it. This is a criminally underrated track.
This is the BEST version I've ever heard of this one!!! I hope you continue to arrange Legend of Mana music, it's a game that's entirely about love that rarely gets any back. Thank you.
I love that darn game! So what if the remake coming out this year isn't a major overhaul like former Mana remakes - I'm still buying it! I mean - Legend of Mana on the Switch? Heck yeah! I got the Switch Lite, so that means Legend of Mana everywhere and anywhere! And the soundtrack was so boss! We can all thank Miss Yoko Shimomura for that. Great game, even if it wasn't like Secret of Mana.

I’m only passingly familiar with the game, but since you mentioned love, I recall hearing that the dark side of love is quite prominent here. How true is that?

Not going to lie, probably the best cover I have ever heard. The quality is so superb, the bass is so strong, but not intrusive, the rhythms and melodies are so wonderful and catchy; overall just a wonderful rendition. My hat goes off to you, sir. Keep up the excellent work! :P

Criminally underviewed? Understatement of the century.
I love how this song has its moments when the melody lightens up, and you get this sense of calmness - making you feel like everything is going to be okay, and then it kicks back into the familiar, frantic beat. It’s just like how the boss fights were in Legend’s story arcs. The bosses would enter, create utter chaos and just when you think the fight is well in hand... rattles off a special for extreme damage. I like this version better than the original though as it brings out more of that tension.

Sorry, but I've never played a single Pokémon game so there's a very good chance I'll never do any tracks from that franchise. Eventually I might drop this arbitrary restriction I've set on myself since I barely have enough free time to enjoy games anymore, but we'll see.

while I definitely like the overall composition, the melody is somewhat buried.
the mix is pretty busy for sure and probably a bit overcompressed but it still actually sounds really good to me. got really lucky with this one~
Stone McKnuckle yeah, it's pretty good, I would just say bring the melody up a bit more? some tracks are just naturally busy, I guess.
