I sold my FN2 Type-R two years ago and I got cancer 6 months after that. Now I'm rehabilitating because I can't walk anymore and the only thing I think about is how much I miss driving. As soon as I can walk again I'll get a new car to have fun again.
The one thing I learned in my fight in the last 1,5 years is that you should enjoy your life and pursue your passions because your life might be shorter than you think.

The car culture in Japan seems so kind and supportive, I've seen so many toxic people in the communities in America and it makes me feel like I don't want to start really getting into cars. You're living the dream and you deserve it for your hard work

Damn I didn't know Japan still had this going for it. It's crazy to think that real life drift battles can actually happen and people can do 200 km/hr runs at night. Really makes me happy that they are keeping it alive.

That last part of what she said made me tear up no joke. I'm at that very point in my life to decide between my passion and letting it go because of other life situations... and it made me so deeply sad to let go of this passion and now I have my answer. I won't give up :') thx 🙏

I just bought mine at 16, its my first car and i got a good deal since the guy needed money for bills
I got mine at 19 too mine was 3,500$ a manual from 2004 everything stock except for the paint it's been spray painted white with the word courage on the side written in Japanese and the miles were below 100,000 and for some reason the guy put LEDs under it looks cool at nice just happens that one side of the rgbs doesn't work

I wouldn't necessarily say that. Pretty much as soon as they hit 100k kms they need a rebuild and most of the RX8 crowd will just sell them off because it's not worth the rebuild.

She’s right about it getting hot. The transmission and the catalytic convertor are tucked close to one another, with the cat on the right side of the transmission, so it’s worse for her. Upside: warm beverages stay warm longer in the cup holders.
"working on your own car is fun, but fixing other people's car is not" is very true statement i studied motor mechanics and got my qualification, but after a while i didnt enjoy being mechanic anymore, but however i really enjoy working on my car. Now i left that field looking to do something else and on the side i work on my cars as a hobby luckily it wasnt to late for me cuz im still young.
im still proud of motor vehicle engineering qualification, i enjoyed a lot and learned very much
The nature of the tires can vastly change this car’s personality. Grippier tires and suddenly this car drives like it’s on rails. Slightly less grip tires and you’re drifting. Very beautiful chassis.

AHHH I love the RX8. I ran that car in any NFS that had it as a kid. If only it didn't come with so many potential probs, esp since gotta buy it used and most ppl around here probably mistreated/abused them. Very cool to see someone drifting a RX8!
Rx8's are so underappreciated man, people assume theyre unreliable when actually its like anything, if you look aftee it, itll look after you. And you cant forget those dynamics man, awesome gearbox, perfect weight and weight distribution, perfect sound from the renesis 6 port. And theyre attainable. So cheap compared to an rx7 for an arguably better car

I got my RX-8 when I was 38 years old and married. It's the sports coupé for the guy with a family or intending to have one. I still have it, and it will will be shared with my oldest child when they turn 16.

My Dad keeps telling me buy a family car like Yu said, I agree don’t let people bend your will, even when married. Loved my 2004 Celica and current 2017 GT86 and GR Supra will be cool next. Best to have fun driving.
Consecutive drifting with an rx8 is very hard because of the lack of torque in the lower rpm. Otherwise, on wet streets the rx8 is a heaven to drift. Very predictable, not overaggressive as an gt86 but very gentle and smooth.

I hope the car scene keeps growing. But with the rate of new hybrid engine cars and less tuner cars. It will be tough. Im in Canada and the car scene is getting smaller especially with Imports.
Just got to leave big cities in Canada, smaller ones have lots of car people. Our is about 20ish thousand and I know a whole crew with fast cars the have secret driving spots and meetups.

I don’t know where you’re from but, yeah the used car price in my country is insane right now. Used cars from a couple of years ago are getting sold to dealerships at msrp which forces them to resell it even higher. Bone stock sports cards from the early 10s are going over msrp. It’s crazy.
@@kameronkirby9227 im in the states and even the Hachi Roku is selling for 30 grand here now. When I was in Japan I had a R32 that I got for cheap but even shitty R32s are selling crazy amounts here. You basically have to buy new cars to save money.
