Despite Mike being a jerk, he has a reason to be upset. Hullabaloo was his only passion in life. It may as well be his only place in the world. So him being hellbent taking revenge on the person who destroyed the circus is understandable. It was rather sad watching him have a meltdown from the realization to his obliviousness that his friends were suffering in the very place he loved as he covers the place with explosives. He has no where to go in life now that the place he loved so much is destroyed and hated by the family he lived within it.
I can understand that. My point was that dealing with your own issues doesn't excuse your actions against someone who doesn't deserve it. Whether Violetta was annoying him or anything doesn't give him a pass for treating her badly.

There is a funny reference that I really love in this. When Mike asked Murro's thought about the cipher machine, Murro told Mike that he is not good with that kind of things. That's a nod to him being absolutely garbage with his decoding speed debuff in the game lol. Clever
With Joker and Margie... (No need to read, i'm a lore yapper) So Joker used to be known as "Jack " and his parents always mocked him when he was a child because of his limp. He was sold to the circus as a child and renamed "Joker". His act was to be mocked by the audience everyday. He never liked it but he was the star of the show so he made the best out of that experience. Having to humiliate himself everyday took a toll on his mental health and gave him an identity crisis. Margaretha comes from that lakeside map, she was raised there by her aunt and uncle. It wasn't the nicest place though because of a cult that runs the place so she and her boyfriend Sergei ran away together against her uncle's wishes and eloped. They then joined the circus where Sergei became the star of the show, taking Joker's place as the leading act. He acted kind in front of everyone but would abuse Margaretha when they were alone. She tried writing to her aunt and uncle but Sergei would tear up the letters, wanting to keep her isolated. Joker started falling in love with Margie and Margie eventually noticed. She decided to start using him for safety and went to him whenever Sergei got angry with her. Joker soon discovered that Sergei had been beating her and confronted him which pissed Sergei off and got them into a fight. After that Sergei started bullying Joker and was angry at how close he and Margie seemed to be. To teach him a lesson, he stole some acid from Mike who keeps chemicals in his room and mixed it into Joker's makeup. The next time Joker put his make up on, his face burned up from the acid. Benard suspected Mike for the incident since Mike has a history of being reckless which caused some bad blood between the two. Joker knew that Sergei did it though because why tf would the perfect shining doll Mike Morton do it? Sergei never got punished for it (i'm guessing that it was because no one believed Joker because of Sergei's gentleman act?) so that was pretty much the last straw for him. He and Margie made a plan to escape the circus. Margie probably put pressure on Joker to go with the plan by seducing him and telling him that she needs him. The plan was to set fire to the circus to cause a distraction and get out of there. However, the fire was way more disastrous than they were intending for it to be. Margie escaped but before anyone else could, Joker decided to get revenge on the place. He took a chainsaw and went around massacring everyone. His specific targets were Benard (Mike's father, the cruel ringmaster) and Sergei. He hated Sergei so much that he ripped his face off too before finally leaving the circus. No one but him knows that Sergei died, because no one could identify Sergei's body after what Joker did to it. In the manor the two reunited but I think Margie was being distant towards Joker because she knows he's responsible for the massacre while Joker's still being nice to her because he still has feelings for her and is convinced that she has feelings for him too. The group gets a riddle (the "1st child, 2nd child" stuff) and Joker instantly understands that the "5th child" has to die for the game to begin. Mike earlier stated that Violetta fits the "5th child" role without knowing the riddle's meaning, so Joker probably came to that same conclusion. When no one's around, he pretends to be a secret person and tells Vio that they're going outside to practice performing so that she'd be willing to come with him. He saws off some of her arms and legs to leave her immobile and leaves her out in the snow to die. Vio assumes that this is because she forgot her lines or performed badly since she was used to being punished for those reasons back at the circus. It's why she keeps rambling about the performance when the others talk to her in the bedroom. He talks about his plan with Margie afterwards. During their first convo she's mad at him because she thinks he's going too far again just like he did back at the circus but during their second convo he gets her to understand why he felt he had to do it and she pretty much tells him "Okay fine whatever, I need you, get me out of here" which he takes as the go-ahead to finish the job. He takes one of Margie's perfumes and uses it to drug Vio and make her go back outside again while Murro's sleeping. And yeah, she dies and Margie feels guilty af because she could've stopped it but chose not to out of selfishness. So hopefully this explains Margie and Joker's relationship as well as Joker's monologue at the end. Joker's my favourite character, after Violetta I pity him the most. Oh yeah and because of the drugs that the person behind these games put in the perfume, Margie keeps hallucinating and seeing Joker as Sergei which probably hurts Joker a lot every time it happens. His hunter identity is "Smiley Face" which resembles Sergei because people keep mistaking him for the person he hates the most. If anyone's interested I could do some yapping about Mike, Murro and Benard's relationship too since there was also some confusion about that.
Awesome. That sums up a lot of what I had figured, but also puts into context the whole Joker/Sergei hunter thing that was confusing me. I'm not oppose to more lore drops like these. I appreciate them.
Sergei and Joker are NOT the same person Sergei was Margaretha/Female Dancers Husband. Yes he was abusive and the circus knew they just didn't do anything. Joker killed Sergei, he cut of his face.

The vision of Margaretta Zelle(new name Natalie)and her lyrics songs after decoding EXIT predicted her deah or the manor owner secrely drug her and lead her so she will drown herself. FYI, Sergi was Female Dancer Natalie's husband who is the leading role in Hullaballoo who replaced Joker for the spotlight along with FD (Female Dancer)Natalie. Sergi used to abuse FD all the time but act like gentleman in front of audience. Joker falls in love with FD and FD manipulate Joker to help her escape from Hullabaloo an Joker ended up ripping Sergi's face and killing everyone else after Sergi destroys Joker's face with chemial cause Joker trying to get in the way of him and his wife the FD. Violetta survive the massacre cause she wasn't part of Hullabaloo cause the audience got tired of her so she was kicked out of the circus. Murro and Mike is brothers just caise they are close. Murro is Bernard's nephew (Benard is the ownef of Hullabaloo who adopted Mike into Hullabaloo who abused his nephew Murro all his life by forcing worked labor in the circus, not feeding him properly, and not letting him escape the circus). Mike once help Murro escape the circus that's why Murro is a deserter and not on the day of the massacre. Mike Morton was accidentaly out on a chore that day so he also survived. That's what I meant by replace, not meant the iidentity switch in the game.

I am very much starting to appreciate the stories of the game. There's been some good and bad comments. I appreciate lore drops that explain stuff, but don't like single sentences like, "***** dies next". lol.
justice for violetta,but also i kinda feel like murro and joker got the short end of the stick here? the entire story was very margaretha-centric,mike became a little more sympathetic towards the end and violetta's screentime not only made her super likeable but also gave us a pretty good idea on how she was treated in the circus considering how everyone but murro talked to her. but for murro he felt like an outsider who had nothing to do with anything beyond just knowing these people,i feel like he definitely would've benefitted from some more lore drops about how his life in the circus was like,same for joker since due to the story being heavyly margaretha-centric he ended up looking like a deranged lunatic(i mean,he IS a deranged lunatic,but he's more tragic than that) so i feel like it would've been good if we got more of his past in the story too,also i generally liked the story but i'm kinda salty violetta's and mike's hunter forms didn't show up at all outside of very small cameos ;-; also all the hullabaloo characters got theme songs when the story dropped,you can listen to them by going to the characters you have unlocked(so i assumed you have smiley face and hullabaloo's songs) and clicking on their file tab,in my opinion smiley face's and violetta's songs are absolute bangers
I like your more analytical and compositional way to look at the story, and I dig it. Here's my take. I feel like Mike was the sole driving factor of the story, and because of this, he dictated who got the most screen time. Mike didn't care about Violetta, so the only time we ever see her is when she is being meek and wanting to perform the play. Mike may care about Murro, but it's almost utility-based. We only see Murro when he's doing something: taking care of Vi, eavesdropping, or at the very end, helping in the grand reveal. For the last two, Mike almost sees them as a pair-one who he believes caused a great tragedy and the other who stood by and let it happen. Since it seems like the game was set up all along for the grand reveal at the end, the rest of the story focuses on Margaretha because she is the one Mike needs to worry about the most. This is all random off-the-top-of-my-head talk, so take it all with a grain of salt
Cool Easter egg is that the frames from the event for the hullabaloo cast are all based on the ways they died (joker and dancer drowned, Mike burned and violetta froze) Murro’s frame is in the fire as well because him and Mike were adopted brothers. Joker jumped into the same river as dancer because he loved her
I think you mean Portrait that we an exchange with tickets in Hullaballoo event right now, not frames. Frames is the one that cover the corner of the portrait with square shape.
Welllll, they do say most hunter from idv are actually good people, they were just horribly wronged during their life. The survivors though? Majority of them have done messed up things. Or they’re actually good people that made bad mistakes. So while Mike technically isn’t on the same scale of joker, his desperation for answers and closure caused him to treat everyone around him poorly.. yelling at Violetta and having intense distrust towards Margie (Female Dancer). But I guess in my eyes he kinda atoned for this with his life when he blew up the bad memories of Hullabaloo circus, it really wasn’t a good place and it’s kinda sad Mike was oblivious to it all. I also noticed you were confused about the word Hullabaloo. It’s the name of circus group. That’s why it was a bit off putting when they decided to name Acrobat hunter as “Hullabaloo”. Before this story dropped, everyone referred to the circus as Hullabaloo whenever their lore was discussed. But with context of the story it makes sense why he has that name lol. And everyone has grown accustomed to calling the new hunter Hullabaloo
Also yes 💔 Justice for Violetta. She really was just there hoping to see her ultimate wish come true. Ever since the beginning. And you’re right, her whole life it has been mistreatment. From her first ever circus to then arriving in Hullabaloo..
Unfortunately I didn't record my playthrough of the first part. Being somewhat new to the IDV space, I didn't think people would care about a react video from me. I have been pleasantly surprised.

Pretty much what everyone else said. Just because the lore exist doesn't mean I know it yet. Started the game a little over a month ago. I'm not really upset by it, but it could be seen as inconsiderate.

Cool Easter egg is that the frames from the event for the hullabaloo cast are all based on the ways they died (joker and dancer drowned, Mike burned and violetta froze) Murro’s frame is in the fire as well because him and Mike were adopted brothers. Joker jumped into the same river as dancer because he loved her

I think you mean Portrait that we an exchange with tickets in Hullaballoo event right now, not frames. Frames is the one that cover the corner of the portrait with square shape.

Welllll, they do say most hunter from idv are actually good people, they were just horribly wronged during their life. The survivors though? Majority of them have done messed up things. Or they’re actually good people that made bad mistakes.
So while Mike technically isn’t on the same scale of joker, his desperation for answers and closure caused him to treat everyone around him poorly.. yelling at Violetta and having intense distrust towards Margie (Female Dancer). But I guess in my eyes he kinda atoned for this with his life when he blew up the bad memories of Hullabaloo circus, it really wasn’t a good place and it’s kinda sad Mike was oblivious to it all.
I also noticed you were confused about the word Hullabaloo. It’s the name of circus group.
That’s why it was a bit off putting when they decided to name Acrobat hunter as “Hullabaloo”. Before this story dropped, everyone referred to the circus as Hullabaloo whenever their lore was discussed.
But with context of the story it makes sense why he has that name lol. And everyone has grown accustomed to calling the new hunter Hullabaloo

Unfortunately I didn't record my playthrough of the first part. Being somewhat new to the IDV space, I didn't think people would care about a react video from me. I have been pleasantly surprised.

@myatlinnko8555 They meant don't spoil it to One Smart Cat cause even if there are peple who knows, here are also people who don't. One Smart Cat is new and he said he hasn't read the lore he only read what the viewer said to him so they are kind of spoilibg it to him.
Pretty much what everyone else said. Just because the lore exist doesn't mean I know it yet. Started the game a little over a month ago. I'm not really upset by it, but it could be seen as inconsiderate.
