I'm still trying to recover from that ending, but knowing that Barriss continued her path as a healer was beautiful 🥺 It does justice to her personality and desires since she was a padawan.
"What's in the cave?"
To quote Yoda: "Only what you take with you."
This episode did have training, but it was Lyn's.
I didn't know anything about Barriss prior to this series, but her arc was absolutely my favourite. Giving herself over to healing to the extent that she didn't hesitate to sacrifice herself if it meant redeeming her former friend was beautiful.
Her arc in Clone Wars is awesome. Definitely check it out if you haven't already. You don't have to watch the whole series to understand it or anything. She's only in a few episodes before that arc, and they're pretty good episodes as well.
You might wanna read the Medstar duology novels. It's about a group of military medics in the Clone Wars and Barris is a big character on it.
I suspect that cave was a site of strong Force-energy, like the cave on Degobah, which turned uncertainty and doubt into confusion and an inability to keep straight where you have gone, turning a natural maze into a true labyrinth. That's why going in was a death sentence if you did not know the path, and Barris's lesson was that only by letting go of her fear and truly committing to her own path could Lyn find her way out.
Personally my favourite arc was the Barris one here. She was always deep down a good person and she wasn’t entirely wrong that the Jedi order had lost its way. Her intention was good but bombing the Jedi temple and framing Ahsoka wasn’t a good way to respond!
In this last episode we see Barris acting like a true Jedi, of the kind she felt Jedi should be - even to the extent of sacrificing her life to save her followers and the family with the force sensitive baby. She also, in dying, saved Lyn. We see this selfless attitude with other Jedi too, notably Kanan. This arc has made Barris one of my favourite Jedi for this reason.
I loved all the 6 episodes. Now we need a Tales of the Jedi with Baylan Skoll.
And bounty hunter, or clones
Fun fact the hedgehog/mole being is a Mohsenian, you see one in the background of rise of skywalker as a resistance member. It’s cool seeing background aliens you barely see again, especially with slightly bigger roles
They can smell illness & injury and their bodies are resistant to sickness too! Lucasfilm/Barriss picking one as her healers assistant is such a fantastic lore pull! 🤗
I read about that and it’s interesting Barriss recruited this one for her job as a healer. It’s cool seeing aliens that debut in Disney in others eras and even in this animation
An amazing path they took Barris down, similar to Ahsoka but uniquely her own. Hopefully we get more of her and Lyn's story, I definitely want to know what happens next!!
2:15 they were after force sensitive children for the Inquisitors, not Project Necromancer as we see in The Bad Batch. This takes place many many years after that.
It’s genuinely beautiful ending for her. And one that leaves space for her to appear in other things. 🤗
The whole blood collection thing is probably a result of Project: Harvester, a project set up by the Empire to register and seek out force-sensitive individuals, mostly in Junior Imperial Accademies, at which point any local Imperial forces were to contact the Imperial Inquisitorious immediately and assist in any way the Inquisitors deemed appropiate.
Good luck to any who refused such "requsts"!
I like that Barriss went full circle. This was the best episode of the six really. And these confusing caves reminded me of Ilum where Jedi younglings get their crystals. Also, stabby stabs are survivable now. :)
"An old friend" - Ahsoka, fur sure!
So i saw a video a couple of days ago about the aging thing. The theory went that to heal, she transferred part of her own life force. So she aged more quickly. It makes me wonder if that closes the Ewan Macgregor to Alec Guinness aging issue (living in the desert notwithstanding): we see Obiwan heal this way at least 3 times on film.
I’m so glad Barris got not only some redemption but my have got Lynn to change her life for the better
"What is in the cave?"
Only what you bring with you.
#Mother Talzin… #Wise Mother #BarrisOffee and Mother Annaseya #TheAcolyte series
All have a common theme…the chaos of displaced children and those who seek them #CPS of #StarWars
every time i watch i love the ending more and more
Barriss arc was my favourite. I hope some how she survived.
Snow environments in Star Wars giving you ptsd? Well, let me warm your thoughts by reminding you that it was on the snowy, ice moon of Geonosis where Kallus and Zeb bonded.
Louise you're one of the few reactors who knew the 4th sister's name was Lyn. Early Happy Birthday wishes to you.
All six of these episodes were ten out of ten for me - can't wait for more Tales of the Blank :). Hoping for Tales of the First Order, or Resistance next.
I'm honestly a bit disappointed we didn't get to see Vader interact with Barriss at all, but what we did get was pretty great. This was definitely my preferred arc of the two, but if I have one criticism, it's that I wish they didn't totally remove Barriss' head covering in this last episode, because it feels like an important part of her race's culture.
I think Barris will have her on series. they finished her last episode with an open gate for something else and Ventress appearance in only one little episode on Bad Batch can't be just it. 👀
I'm sure Ahsoka was the first thought for many of us but Barriss referred to the "path" so could it be Tala from Obi-Wan or even Ventress? I enjoyed both arcs equally.
That face in the thumbnail is a mood
I think that cave was a Jedi temple, too.
Bariss was my favorite characters in these shorts
My headcanon is Bariss and Lyn leave the cave, Lyn heals Bariss and lives haplily ever after 🥺🥺
LOUISE!!! HAVE a great birthday!!! otanjoubi omedetou!!
I'm still hopeful that we get to see Barris and Ahsoka meet up in some form of TV media, but this was a really good story for her!
Doesn’t make sense to me. Bariss renounced the Jedi order and become a separatist-allied terrorist. Where was all this regret and remorse when she was trying to blow up the temple, she didn’t care about any of the kids in there. And suddenly she’s back friends with Ashoka after hating her and trying to ruin her life?
I get what you're saying, but Bariss never hated the Jedi or Ahsoka, she hated what they became during the Clone Wars and she was never allied with the separatists. I won't excuse her actions at the Jedi Temple, but what Bariss did there was her own personal choice.
from where u thake this info, its a madness, barriss was full of compassion, gentle and kind in the jedi order but with the war she take a LOT of trauma who was to much for her to handle. she chose the hangar because there was a military staff not the " child room wtf " she care about child and everybody, she was scared with a lot trauma ( " the book tales a jedi and sith - a jedi duty " explain extremly clear why she did the attack ) and was she let her fear to take control, she want to tell the truth but jedi was too selfish to listen, her hear was everytime good, ALSO filoni use barriss for Ahsoka PLOT to explai why she wasn in event ROTS and now filoni fixed his mistake to broke barriss from legend. BEFORE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT A CHARACTER, PLEASE MAKE SOME RESEARCH ABOUT SHE/HIM. she exist before ahsoka
The Barriss arc was my favorite (I wasn’t expecting a 4th sister/Lyn redemption). My favorite episode was Morgan’s first episode
You'd take that Inquisitor lightsaber and make it a fine addition to your collection.
3:31 I am absolutely certain that the “old friend” is none other than Ahsoka Tano
One more redemption arc, And one more "Not a jedi" that Yoda does not count.
Hunting the force sensitives in the galaxy is not always about project necromancer.... The inquisitorious is always recruiting.
After years of wondering what happened to Barriss we finally get some answers and now have to wonder what happened to her all over again... 🥺
Definitely enjoyed getting something with Fourth Sister after getting nothing with her in Kenobi, certainly hope we get more of them in live action or animation
And of course, enjoy your little break from YT, hope you have a fantastic birthday! 🎈
I appreciate you appreciating content and not just hating on it for views and the alt right succ. Glad wholesome SW fans still post shit they like
I reaaaaally hope her and Ahsoka reconnected. I am crying just thinking about it and them making up would make me feel so much better about the whole thing.
Happy Birthday! 🎉🎂🥳
I notice she was stabbed in the side like Sabine. Hopefully, there's some first aid nearby and Barriss survives. This episode seems like it could be weaved in with the force children episode in the Rebels
Yes, surely it's Ahsoka. Storyline aside, did you check out the haunches on that blue cow thing? As Sir Mix-A-Lot would say, "BABY GOT BACK!!!" lol
maybe it's because I'm in denial, but I don't think Barriss is dead. She is definitely hurt, but the fact that they leave her hurt and not confirmed dead at the end means it could be anything. Star wars isnt' afraid of killing characters off, Barriss force choked a guy in the first ep onscreen. People have survived worse in Star Wars, they're usually kept alive by hatred, but the point still stands. If they wanted to confirm she was dead for good they could have, it's been 11 year they're not reason to take her from an ambiguous ending to another ambiguous ending to kill her off.
Especially when they could have made it clearer. She got stabbed in the side, likely a kidney or liver, bad, but since a lightsaber cauterizes instead of slashes, it's survivable. If they wanted to make it clear Barriss died they could have had Lyn stab her more center to the spine or up more to the heart. Again might be denial because I liked Barriss in clone wars and have thought she'd make one of the most interesting characters in the universe and this is the only mention we get of her since the first finale of the series 11 years ago
It could be Ahsoka. It could also be Merrin or someone else she met along the way.
There is always a way out. The scene ends with her stepping into the light from the shadow of the cave.
I have a suspicious feeling that they may be setting up a show dealing more with The Path. My favorite episodes would probably be the episode with Thrawn and Morgan and the First Barriss episode with all the inquisitors.
I might need some context for why snow in Star Wars gives you PTSD; is it because of what happened with Mayday or something else? I heard that Barriss may have been using Force heal on here patients & that's why she looks so much older due to using up her life force, but it may just be head-canon. And just like that, we're back to asking "What happened to Barriss?" This was not my favorite series Barriss's arc was slightly more enjoyable because she hasn't been seen in a long time & there was more development on Lyn who did nothing in Kenobi, the 1st episode was the most interesting thing in Morgan's arc. It wasn't hitting for me, but glad you found enjoyment out of this.
Morgan Elsbeth sacrificed her life in order for the tiny hope of seeing her people rise again.
To Her, Mitth'raw'nuruodo was her only hope. Just like Obi-Wan was to Leia and the fledgelling rebellion: a wise and skilled veteran of past wars with a keen intellect and eloquent way of speaking, often choosing words before weapons. Sound familiar?
Was not expecting that successful redemption on Lynn's behalf. Barriss did a good job.
Pity She had to breifly fall to the Dark Side in order to reach her full potential. Overall, my favorite arch was Morgan's: her revenge was focused on the wrong people. Sidious was suppoused to be her target, not the rest of the universe!
I do not think we have seen the last of Bariss. And the old friend thing will be certainly pursued.
Happy birthday in four Tuesdays!
"An Old Friend"----I'm betting it is Ahsoka. Less likely: Bo Katan.
Old friend means Ashoka
But I dunno reunion Ashoka forgive her or still angry
Ngl for this series I preferred Morgans story over Barris's but her redemption was a welcome suprise. She really embodied what the Jedi forgot over time, Master Yoda would be proud. When the storm was approaching I honestly thought that was Vader, but having Lyn show up makes the symbolism in the ice cave worth it. Awesome reaction as usual, and May the Force be with you, Always. 💯🔥💚💚✌️
I think her old friend is Ashoka yes
Cool reaction👍
Must admit, I was very disappointed with Barriss' final episode. I wanted to know more.
how did she get to that planet in the final episode?
how did she meet the people with her?
why did she go to that planet?
There is just SO much more I want to know and need to know, but while watching your reaction it occurred to me that maybe we're going to get the Barriss/Lynn story in animated or live action and this final episode is the future the show builds to.
Enjoy ya break! I'm sooooo excited for The Acolyte & your reactions of course.
💜
Everybody talk " barriss bomb the jedi temple " and??? anakin kill children and women before clone wars in EP 2. befor talk about barriss why she come back to the light go and listen what dave said about her in 2015 in an interview and go to read legends, She was full of compassion, gentle and kind in the order, Filoni USE Barriss for Ahsoka PLOT to explain why she wasn in the event of ROTS in that time and now filoni fix his mistake with barriss to transform her in an criminal just for ahsoka story. PS ahsoka and barriss are my fav toon from SW but was unfair what filoni did to barriss then and now people hate her withou a reason
I believe Barris will be alive because Lyn save her
I know Barris will alive 🙏🏻🙏🏻
They made a big deal about showing Lyn's breath continuing to make fog after Barris' stops.
@@gork8468 that cloud come from mouth, watch when lyn breathe through the nose and we can't see any fog
What are your thoughts on Barris returning to the light side? I can already imagine making a new hash tag . I don't know if we should call it # Barris redeemed or # We forgive you Barris .
You a Gemini ♊️…if so… how grand! Happy belated birthday ❤
I definitely enjoyed tales of the Jedi more but it was still a good show! The potential for season 2 on both shows could be so good
She may have made up with Ahsoka. However, there are some fanfictions out there who think they should have been a couple. "Made up"? More like "make out", for some.
I wonder if this after obi 1
Totally unrelated but is that Mimir hanging off your mic?
5 Star reaction
Hi Louise. Will you react to The Rings of Power teaser trailer tomorrow?
That's what she said she's doing.
why would anyone want to watch a rape of a good series
" i kinda ship it" REAL lmfaooo. this episode broke me honestly like it was such a jarring shift and i loved the tone
React God of War Valhalla DLC
Honestly Barris is better then ezra from fighting without a lightsaber
ngl kinda of a letdown considering what theyve done with Tales of the Jedi
Don't take a bretension? How about reacting to an anime? Something like Frieren or Bocchi the Rock, Doctor Stone, Spy x Family , Wind breaker, spice and wolf, or moshuku tensai?
