I've been in the profession for 20 years and I rarely, if ever, see any of this in day-to-day work. This is hyperbole, at least in my area, and we are just normal people, not Tik Tok pink-hairs. They are 1 out of thousands. Of course, we want to care for all of the diversity in our students, but here we have a legal obligation to uphold and support concepts like gender identity. This means we can be fired if we speak against it. But none of my colleagues have anything to do with it. I think this was an over-the-top speech filled with hyperbole, and misinformation.
As a parent, this made me cry. "It's about our children, not teachers, or the ABC/LGB, whatever group. Education, not programination.

I'm only 20 1/2 years old. Feels like just the other day I was in highschool, and like it was just a few minutes ago that I was in usmc boot. But when I look at kids these days it makes me feel so old. The things they make them be taught in school, the way the kids act; so loud and obnoxious, with no respect for anything anymore it seems like. Hell, I still see it in people my age and older sometimes and its baffling to me. How dare you feel so entitled to everything yet give little to nothing in return. I had to earn the privilege of using personal pronouns instead "this recruit". I had to earn the right to be a united states marine, to be in the job that I had volunteered for. I came from nothing and made something of myself, even with people always putting me down at every step of my life. I legitimately have ptsd so bad it's hard to sleep some nights due to all the fucked up shit I went through when I was younger. No matter your situation, the world owes you nothing, so earn what you want. You have to put in blood, sweat and tears into achieving your goals. I know I have, in spite of my background. If shit doesnt pan out as you hoped in the end; you re-adjust your goals and your plans and you persist no matter how much it hurts, even if you go through suicidal periods so bad that you actively attempt suicide; if you can't kill you, then nothing can, let alone stop you. So what's making you hesitate from earning your dreams? Be a spoiled brat and the world will throw you around like a ragdoll in a washing machine when reality hits you.

In Greece our schools are still teaching mathematics, physics ect and even though Greece is so poor compared to USA the IQ and education of people its relevant. This should be the goal of our education system - To provide the best affordable quality education to our children and give them the tools to survive in this society so that they can become the best outstanding individual Americans that they can be!!
honest question, though: trump was president for 4 years, is it bad to think he had his chance? It's almost like people forget that he's already had the opportunity to live up to the campaign promises...
It's your job as a parent to do that and not depend on the school. The school needs to teach math, history, English, and science and the rest of the teaching needs to happen at home by the parent(s). Our children look to us for real answers and for a role model of how to be a good person and productive member in society. Schools have been under this assault since the 60s. It's slowly morphed into what it is now. Their are too many Socialist/Communist minded "teachers" whose ideology has been set and who are rooted throughout the school's of America from coast to coast. This is a much bigger problem than people really understand.
@@codent we’ll see the issue is at the time that wasn’t a priority because we didn’t see what was happening till this year and last year when a massive amount of schools started pushing sexuality onto kids. Trump did everything he said he was gonna do even if I didn’t agree with some of it he still kept his word. I may not like him but I respect him. I think he did more than enough to prove himself on a second chance plus we weren’t at the risk of world war 3 with Russia and china he had them under control.

I don’t doubt it at all. It wouldn’t happen with me though. Years ago in the US in public school my kindergarten child brought home a book chosen by their teacher and luckily I got it first because I always checked anything and everything before allowing them to view it. There was a topless woman picture in this book for my baby to look at. They didn’t even want to remove the book from the library. I removed my children from public schools and homeschooled. Best decision ever. Btw-that wasn’t the only problem there that prompted my decision but it was enough on its own.

If he does become president again, I hope he truly redeems himself and brings back the *real* United States!
