I bought one of these used recently with extremely low miles on it. So far I’ve put like 500 miles on it and it’s the best bike I’ve ever ridden overall. Smooth as silk, great power and pretty comfortable right out of the box. I rode my wife’s 2017 Low Rider the other night and it just seems like a rattle trap after riding the Pro Street exclusively for a couple weeks. I absolutely love this bike. If you’re on the fence, do yourself a favor and get one.
This is truly one of the only Harley models that I would ever consider now. I love the Prostreet for sure in terms of looks, ride, and overall experience. It is what it should be.
Rabid Hedgehog Yes sir, an amazing experience. A bike you can ride anywhere and turn heads. Like you said in this video, you can really flick it around pretty easily and those inverted forks are awesome. I’m currently added a few things to make it fit me better and then I’m off to Sturgis in a couple weeks.

I just bought a 2017 CVO Breakout pro street 110 Screaming Eagle Saturday. Only 8K Miles on it. Beautiful like new condition. I had a 2014 Breakout 103. I loved that bike.My first Harley. But this CVO Breakout is the Cadilac of the Breakouts in my opinion. the color is beautiful. a Red and Black with black pipes.custom pipes.not Vance & Hines, another brand but damn they are loud. I love a Harley to have that loud semi obnoxious set of pipes so you can be heard. all that soft easy on the ears pipes are ridiculous. LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES. Good review by the way. the inverted forks have me confused. what is the benefit of this? and on my other Breakout 103 FXSB I would ride paris mountain.8 mile run one way.big drop offs from 500-1,500ft. my foot pegs never hit the ground.is the CVO lower than the FXSB? I haven't ridden the bike yet.6 more weeks.I was in a motorcycle accident and in a wheel chair. anyway I was just curious about the forks and scraping the ground. but I love this bike.
I enjoy your reviews! I have a 2012 Road King now. The bike I was looking forward to getting in a few years was the Night Rod! Really disappointed to see it finished!!
One thing I've noticed with drag bars, is that you do get a lot better leverage to flick the bike around. You do have to lean (or scoot) forward a bit, and some riders get lower back or shoulder pain from the ergo's. You might be able to cure the problem by rotating the bars up a bit, or swap for apes or buckhorns.
I agree with almost everything besides the riding comfort. I own the cvo pro street 2017 , I am 6 ft 2 and it is NOT comfortable. With the drag bars you are always leaning forward and that hurts your lower back. I have had it for 4 months and have done 7000 miles on it and my back hurts on every ride. I am thinking of going for apes to change the seating style but because of how low the bike sits your knee is always way higher than where you are sitting. That worsens the back problem because now you are always sitting crouched up in the bike pit. For longer rides it is definitely painful.
I am slightly shorter, but I guess I am used to the Night Rod and its position like the clam shell while this one is more spread out for me. So to me it is a comfortable bike. The apes do help. We had one come by the shop that had a set of 12s on board and it made for a decent riding position.
Great review, as always. I recently saw this bike at the local dealer. It's beautiful. Almost struck me like the night rod did. Waaaaay out of my price range though. For that money, I might be switching to a touring chassis, like the Road King Special, as a second bike though. Still love my night rod:)

Looks like my old Yami Warrior with a better paint job and sleeker exhaust. Would do well to lose that needlessly wide rear tire and provide a bar with a little pullback. Aside from that, I like it.

19" wheel vs 21" the 21 will have more gyroscopic effect resisting leanover
This is the bike I am getting soon I hope 🤞. Just curious why I haven't seen anyone compare it to the v-rod yet? Or if it does compare? They are basically H-D sport bikes but I think the breakout would need the new 117ci kit if it were to surpass the v-rod
Kris Green Being that I own a Night Rod this bike is slower, heavier, does not turn as sharp or as easily, gets warmer on a longer ride, and is just bigger in every direction. However, it gets better fuel mileage, a better seat, since it is wider a better seating position, and resale value in the long run.
No comparison. V rod every day. That's if you want to enjoy riding it.
I tend to agree if you are going to keep it until the wheels fall off stick with the Vrod.
Should I make one of these breakouts my first Harley or should I go with the 2017 road glide special since I do plan on making trip state to state on my new Harley this month
Ethan Frédéric definitely road glide hands down. No comparison. The road glide is faster and handles better plus music and storage. Win win.
well it also comes with flush pet cap heavy breather better gauge and so much more by the time you stage 1 or 2 or 3 and change gauge and so on you'll find you have already spent that and still have a smaller engine well that's what i say not that it matters now the 2018's are here and better again well if your buying new that is
It's obviously a better spec'd bike than the standard Breakout, but it still can't overcome the rear suspension, 240 tire, long wheel base, and fork rake. Judging by your silence and tone, you didn't seem overly impressed by the CVO, either. Or am I just reading too much into it?
If they threw that Showa inverted fork on a Low Rider S, then H-D would have a real performance cruiser. In my opinion, anyway.

I found it to perform worth the little extra, and it is a bike I would not mind, but it would still be second fiddle to something else. I agree on the Low Rider S though. If I bought one that would be a conversion that would be made.
But would you take it on a road trip and be more comfortable over a regular Breakout?

In the long run the Low Rider S will out run this bike because of the better turn angles and power to weight ratio. But this is is more comfortable in the seat and suspension stock.
It doesn't compare at all. The low rider s will destroy this bike in every way. Especially in any kind of curves at all.
How does this compare now with the new 18 breakout? I'm interested in going to a 19" front wheel for my Hammer now. I went 21" and it's a bear at slow speeds so I'm hesitant about the 21 tire breakouts. Though they are raked a bit more than my Hammer I still can imagine the front of even the new breakouts also feeling very heavy in comparison to the 19" pro street. Sock of upgrading trying to make my bike how I want it I should just buy this lol
The new Softail series does indeed out perform the old and the new is on par with this one in turning ability if not a little bit better, not much since it's the Pro Street, but light-years ahead of the stock original Breakout. The rake differences may through the Hammers geometry off but maybe see if they have a test wheel or something to see if it works for you. Some shops allow that.
@@RabidHedgehog thanks for the reply. You don't see to much on comparing the CVO pro street to the new 18+ regular breakout so very valuable information. Almost impossible to find dealers with both since CVO is so rare.
