I am Class of 1998...thank you so much for sharing the photos and videos. I was in tears. Every photo I was reminiscing on being there. Hats off and honor to you being apart of the history of Oxon Hill High School! Also to everyone who ever graduated from OHHS....We are Clippers for Life!!!
Thank you for making this...wonderfully done and perfect music. It may seem like folks don't care, but they do. Even though it was just a building, a stupid old building even when I went there 1981-84, it will always be a symbol of our youth. Those amazing and scary last years before we were cast out into the world to be...grown-ups.
Loved how you put this together. I graduated with the class of '65. I will be sharing this wonderful video on our website. Thanks for all the time and thought you put into making this. We moved from MD back in Nov of 71, we are back there often for get togethers with classmates, but have not been able to watch/view the changing of our old stompin grounds. Again Thanks. Donna Osborn Fife
Rick - thanks again for putting in the time and effort for this. I am from the class of 71 and it sure was a nice mental trip back to Oxon Hill (Senior) High. I had a lot of great friends there and a lot of good memories. Its amazing how seeing the building brings so many of them back. To think the "old" building was only 11 years old when I graduated, and now its gone! Time marches on....
skinsfanmaa I enjoyed doing it. I knew once it was gone. it was gone. It was hard for me to see it go to. I grew up down the street. It was part of me before i went even went their.
Thanks for making this video! I graduated in 1966, my family moved away in 1967, and I never went back to the school. I wouldn't have been able to even describe how it looked before seeing the video, but it made me really remember the school and brought back many memories!
This brings back many happy memories, and while I understand the need to replace it with a new modern OHHS, there is still a sadness in seeing it torn down. Our Class of ‘61 was the first to complete a full school year, and then the last to graduate in the gym. This video will keep the memories alive. Again; Thank You. DIANE (SHIMP) SPENCER. ‘61
Great video Rick, excellent memories! Class of '74 will always RULE! Last class to paint the class numbers on the gym roof! First class to walk out in protest of forced busing! Oh yeah...the limburger cheese in the heater?? And what about the day we SOLD THE SCHOOL? Many other great memories... All in all...OHHS made us all into who we are today! Once a Clipper, ALWAYS a Clipper!
Well the student body looks a lot different now.. I'm guessing you all were protesting busing to keep out a certain element, now the entire school and neighborhood is completely filled with the element you all were trying to keep out..
@@covertLLC We weren't protesting a certain element, we were protesting having gone through 12 years of classmates, only to have them bussed to a different school, because you lived on a certain street... The school was great back then, but I paid a visit with a teacher many years later, and they said it was like a war zone. Students would walk out of class, throw things around, assault others and teachers, with no consequences. Horrible language, fights all the time...stuff we have had our asses handed to us for, had all become the standard for the day.
Class of 08’ great memories we actually had Kevin Hart do a stand up at our Prom and Day 26 Perform along with 93.9 radio at our Prom what a Dope school to represent 💎
Yea It was apart of me too. I had my doubt about making this video. It took me months to make. It just seems people don't seem to Care much. But what the hey. It is history now. Maybe someday someone will want to look back. Take care thanks for the comment.
I currently go to the new school, the gym was made to look exactly like the old school in remembrance and we are a Science and Tech School now sponsored by Nike so yeah.
I went there in for the 03-04 school year then 05-06 and 06-07 school years. ( so 9th grade 11th and 12th grades) .. :/ I can't believe they actually tore it down and moved it.. They were finishing the new gym when I was still going there.. I don't get why they finished it ( if they did ) if they were gonna tear it down just a few years later.. Such a waste..

I feel nothing but nostalgia. Thank you for making this video! I miss the old building! Clipper 4 life! Class of 2001!
Beautiful, I graduated in 1980 and haven't see it since 1981. This was a great tribute and took me strolling down memory lane. Thank you!

I was OHHS class of 96, and I had good memories of my high school years there. It sad that it had to get demolished.
Good to see some of my old buds partaking in the nostalgia. I loved OHHS and the time I spent there. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

They kept the new gym from 2004-2007? Yay! At least some of my high school is still there. lol
