    Sorry I had to watch again I couldn't take my focus off those amazing Sims pickups. Those are going on my next through bass I build. How do you like them so far?

    I would have like to see a riff that incorporated this as well. Something simple that highlighted _when_ a person might want to use something like this on bass. 10/10 otherwise! I always enjoy your content and look forward to Fridays for that reason.

      This isn't the kind of thing you'd really associate with a riff. You're more likely to get it as a part of an unaccompanied shred solo on stage (a la Billy Sheehan) or doubled with a guitar in an instrumental section (again a la Sheehan/Vai, Sheehan/Gilbert etc)

    Where can I get info on that super cool bass and your teal colored one?

    • @talkingbasslessons
      @talkingbasslessons  5 років тому +1

      This is an Enfield Lionheart (Martin Sims) and the pickups in the Ibanez are also made by Martin Sims. Check out the website. Great basses/pickups.

    Thanks for this lesson Mark! Sorry for my silly question: how called this Black thing that reduce strings buzz (on the begining of the neck) and where to buy it?

      Just tie a sock or a scrunchie real tight at the top of the neck, that should do the job

      Nixon Kameen This literally requires no hand stretching at all, it's less intensive than playing two notes right next to each other. Give it a go, you'll do great!

    Did you guys know that you can always grow out your plucking fingers’ nails to substitute for pick if you want to just work on increasing finger speed instead of using a pick. That’s what Rob Trujillo and Steve Harris do.
