  • On a recent trip to Brazil whilst visiting our partner farmer, Bruno Souza of Fazenda Esperança, Patrik filmed a short feature highlighting some of the practises that contribute to the eventual high quality of a specialty coffee.
We believe strongly in working towards quality, and there are many factors during the agricultural and post harvest processes that can determine the quality level of a coffee. In this video Patrik explains what these processes look like, how they reflect our operational model and how we intend to maintain and progress this philosophy throughout future partnerships with partner farmers.
NB: Unfortunately the sound quality of this weeks’ video was compromised. We hope that the content more than makes up for the lack of clarity.
We're always interested in hearing what topics you're most curious to hear us discuss, and social media is a great way of reaching out to us if you would like to make a request.
We welcome your thoughts and feelings on the topics raised in this weeks video, as well as other ideas you would like to see us discuss in the future. We really appreciate your feedback and support.

Hey 👋🏽 guys, have you found any major differences in flavor when it comes to the screen sizes yet? Also why don’t you use screen sizes below 16?

Vlogging style doesn't really suit this video IMO. After you sorting the beans, you should explain the defects one by one with text and zooming the defect beans and what kind of flavor they can create in the final cup, This video should be in informational style. I don't know if there is one in this channel, though. This video is quite advanced for regular barista (non-roaster). Just saying

Could you cover a video on coffees peak? such as how the coffee taste better on day 5 vs day 1-4 after being roasted? Or is this to complex of a subject to tackle?

Depends on the roast. Most coffee roasters using a Loring and roast light will suggest 2 weeks minimum. Also, Kenyan coffees may need 3-4 weeks after roast for example. Depending on the density and roast, beans might need to rest longer. Ofter high grown coffees and also Kenyan Peaberry.
