Urban Reign is a multiplayer beat 'em up game developed and published by Namco in 2005 exclusively for the PlayStation 2. The game's plot revolves around Brad Hawk, a hired brawler searching for a kidnapped gang member in a fortified U.S. city.

9:51 Remember what I told you about the Armor SPA at the beginning of this series??? Napalm 99 is another fighter who can do that. The annoying thing with Napalm is every time he activates it, he always regains health. And what’s even worse is he can spam it every time he gets enough meter.

Came here by chance after watching a recent Urban Reign video from someone else. You seem like a pretty chill guy and you put a lot of efforts in the edits. Good stuff.
I'd like to recommend another beat-em-up type game that is partially in the same gameplay vein as God Hand. Goes by name of Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, a prequel to the Zeno Clash games.
Zeno Clash 1 and 2 were first person brawlers, AoC has a camera more like God Hand or Sifu. It's quite heavy on story and it's a good story, too. Gameplay in Clash consists mainly of fighting and exploring, and through exploring you can find different Stances and Special Attacks, of which you can always have two Stances and three Special Attacks assigned.
On top of that, there's a Special Meter that puts you in first person mode, and if you keep doing enough damage to an enemy without getting knocked out of First Person, you perform a special Finisher.
There's a Defend or Parry move that, instead of counterattacking, slows down an enemy for a few moments and builds up the Special Meter even more. Though you can also catch and throw back projectiles with it.
A Stance always consists of:
- A combo string
- Attack from a Run
- Attack from a Jump
- Attack from a Charge
- Attack from a Front, Sideways and Backwards dodge
and if you press attack right as a previous attack lands, the next attack will come out faster.
Not as demanding or complex as God Hand or Urban Reign, but Clash: AoC still has a good amount of stuff to offer and is a very solid game.
Kya: Dark Lineage for PS2 was quite neat as well. More of a 3D platformer type with an art direction like Rayman, but it has surprisingly in-depth combat with what i've seen people describe as a Mini-Tekken.
Moveset has to be gradually unlocked by buying bracelets. It's kind of like buying weapons in Ratchet and Clank, but instead of weapons you get stuff like expanded kicking options, grapples that differ depending on your position relative to the enemy, jumping on and over an enemy, and more.
Has its frustrating bits and it's not exclusively combat-centric (there's stuff like skydiving, board sliding, wind gliding and animal riding too), but it's a cool game nonetheless.
Oh, and Charlie Murder and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile are good stuff as well.
Hope that these games have roused your interest, and wish you good luck and fun with Urban Reign going forward! Especially based on the warnings other comments give here. Napalm and Golem are concrete brick poophouses (poophice? Mouse, mice, why don't we call the plural of "houses" "hice"?) without a shred of mercy.

@@brandopolo2 Thank you for replying, and i'm glad you're enthousiastic for the suggestions! Especially because i'm afraid people suggesting things on YT to play may be annoying (like i'm doing know), knowing how much effort can go into making a series or even just a video.
Or with time constraints in general, not necessarily for a video.
I know a lot more games too, which may be neat just to spread word on to others.
- No Straight Roads, a debut game by Malaysian studio Metronomik. A stylish, boss-centric short action game all about music. Player characters are a rock guitarist and a musician trying to stick it to authority after rock gets banned in favour of other music. However, the love for music of all sorts shines through. Boss themes for example change in genre depending on how well you or the boss is doing.
- Soulstice. Similar genre to Ninja Gaiden, but in style it's more like DMC, Bayonetta, and i'd say a bit like Darksiders too-- mainly in terms of in-depth characters, story and lore.
Has some divisive mechanics and drags on in the middle, but it has a LOT to offer. About seven different weapons, over twenty different enemies, about seven bosses with really cool designs and solid fights (except for one). Good lore, too.
And there's some upcoming ones too, like
- Blud. Like Cookie Cutter, it's amazingly animated, but combat is only half the game. The other half seems to simply be meeting folks and exploring the overworld. Kind of looks like a high-quality 2D Cartoon Network show that never was.
- Genokids. Third action game featuring a band! About a four-man rock band that regroups to fight off an alien invasion after they crashed their big concert. Rapid character swapping.
- Enenra and Yasuke: A Lost Descendant. Don't actually know super much about these ones.
- I only found out about this one today. Goes by name of Kings of Hell. 3D brawler with inspirations from real-life demonology like the Ars Goetia. Quite colorful, though be warned: has some edge and spice to it. (all the main character seem to wear bulging thongs, for example).
- Gori: Cuddly Carnage. It's about a syntethic toy cat riding an extending chainsaw hoverboard during a toy apocalypse.

Ngl, this game is HARD! And the worst part...you haven't hit...the wall yet. My suggestion: get ready to fight with WEAPONS. Lots and lots of weapons. Also...you might wanna use Chris if stages get too hard. Also...you haven't seen the last of Napalm-99...

@@brandopolo2 yes, weapons. (Sadly, the weapons aren't for Napalm. They're for...other fights...) But, what I did to solve ONE of the problems Napalm poses it to raise regional attack and usually perform low attack on him to build up leg damage. Now, this is useful, but the fight is still harder than a petrified tree.
