Meet Constable Latisha Whalan

Deaf Services was proud to work with Queensland Police to make a video featuring Constable Latisha Whalan from Queensland Police’s Youth Mentoring Program ‘Project Booyah’.
Constable Whalan has three Deaf cousins who taught her sign language.
She shows us some signs police can use when communicating with the Deaf community. She tells us that is important for Deaf people to feel safe and comfortable with Police.
