I lived in Inala from 1982 to 1987 and went to high school there. All my school friend's parents had jobs. We were never exposed to crime or drugs and it was as safe as any other suburb.
Inala is good these days Chermside Westfield Shopping Center is Absolutely Massive and without a Train Station Anywhere Nearby The Bus Station is The HUB for Mass Public Transportation a Nexus where even good people can feel desperate learning to let go of fear is not easy serious violent crime can escalate too quickly for someone carrying a weapon what most don't realize is that if there weapon of choice is turned on then that self defense anyways it those who cut bus seats out of boredom that cost our greater community more more in repair costs and the idea that when we the public transportation traveling public see a slashed bus seat we start to think how did that happen are people carry something that can cut the bus seat fabric and foam then we ask questions people tell us. maybe the seat was cut then we choose not to travel on the bus we don't go to the shops it's the retailer who misses out on sales is the shop assistant that looses work hours a whole knock on affect I believe Inala is lucky in many ways it has its own people watching things Springfield Lakes Shops and The Train changed a lot for Inala we need to wait and hope Inala will get a train line stop if the ShortCut TrainLine To The Gold Coast gets built I've been sitting with my window down nice breeze located outside Red Rooster Inala writing this all this time and I haven't seen or heard any trouble nor do I expect too to
If you want to help with the change the join. Go to the academy and make a difference instead of bitching and moaning about the coppers. Do. Something ffs.

Having experienced both occupations would you say the public good would be better served by diverting the enormous funds police get to the health services in order to decrease waiting times, ramping and the fact that there is just not enough ambulances?

Cant just go around random stopping people a searching them for no reason. Unless you are suspected of a crime, and told you are detained, you dont have to stop for police.
