Although, if you rebind walk forward to right click, and you hold left and right click before reloading, you can use this to automatically stripmine with no external tools. Bedrock edition here. If it does not work for you, then what I found was that you need to build the walls about three blocks higher. That way the lava can fall from a higher spot. At first, I thought this would work, since that usually works in naturally occurring lava and water cobblestone. I wish I could put it in a video by. It’s pretty much exactly what he did just building a little higher. Works as of 1/21/23

I also found if you put the chest 1 block into the ground and a hopper on it with a furnace on it with a hopper leading from the collection to the furnace, you won't need silk touch. It gets you the same amount! Simple add-on to make the farm better if you don't want cobblestone. Just replace furnace with hopper if you want cobblestone. For equal amounts of stone and cobblestone , make the back and the front furnaces hoppers to get cobble.

It's because the coding is a little different in Bedrock edition. It's actually an easy fix since you can technically still mine the cobblestone behind the lava curtain till all three have done the same thing... all you need to fix it... a bucket of water and pour it in.

  • @seansmith877
    @seansmith877 Рік тому +38

I've tried this on both bedrock and java but it only works on Java sadly even though it says bedrock in the description, lava spreads slightly faster in bedrock so after a few breaks of stone the lava eventually gets down before the water does and it stops working, very good for java but now I gotta look for a different one for bedrock

I had the same issue on PC bedrock edition... it worked for me by making the lava flow from the SIDE instead of TOP!
You can try placing a platform extending 3 blocks sidewards and place 4 lava sources on the very end (and remember to cover the edges of the platform so lava doesn't flow out anywhere else)
But doing that might require you to move the water similarly outwards by 7 blocks outwards such that only the 8th block of flowing water lies above the hoppers/sign.

A good tip while afk-ing in this generator.
-You can use silk touch to get stone. (you can still get some occasional cobblestones but silk touch saves you time and fuel on cooking cobble and stone to make stone or smooth stone)
-You can press F3 + T while holding left click, the screen will reload and before it finishes reloading just release your left click and you are all good to go.
-If you plan to use the F3 + T trick with a netherite/diamond pickaxe with efficiency 5/haste II, change the block on the opposite side of the generator with obsidian as it does not break as fast as stone (this will make sure that you don't get those annoying water flowing out of the generator). I think wood also works but it might burn up, unless you use those wood found in the nether.

if ur on bedrock, no, my fix was to use efficiency 4 with no beacon. the bug in bedrock still exists where water and lava sometimes dont make stone and just sit beside each other, ive even seen lava directly under water. bedrock is whacky

      I think I can help,
Put lava buckets in 4 dispensers and place 4 redstone repeaters leading into them, make a redstone clock with the redstone repeaters 3 back and it should make the lava slow enough so the lava flow will be fixxed automatically. Hope this helps.

Something like this if you see it from the bird's-eye view:
      🟦⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩🟩⏪⏪🟧
      🟦⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩🟩⏪⏪🟧
      🟦⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩🟩⏪⏪🟧

🟦 is water source, ⏩ is flow of water
🟧 is lava source, ⏪ is flow of lava
🟩 is where stone gets formed
Do note that, your collection chests might be obstructed! So you can place the chests BELOW the hoppers... (and hoppers won't block chest from opening)

A very excellent and compact farm to use on Java with average hardware availability. Unfortunately for everyone who uses consoles, this is not practical for AFK harvesting. I have tested each pickaxe with each level of efficiency, and the lava occasionally will repace all of the water. On the PC it works just fine, which I consider to be odd. Saw lots of comments about this so I packed it in one neat package. Cheers everyone.

Works perfectly now...as for the soul dirt, I made a stone and basalt generator in one small build. Twice as wide as that stone one Mysticat made, same depth and height. And to push the dirt into the minecart, break the rails under the cart, then use a piston to push the dirt. Wont let you if you dont break the rails first.
