This is one of the most informed tutorials i have seen especially for my truck. I very much appreciate it. If you can do more on anything you do on this kind of truck year diesel when you get one in to service that would be so helpful. Great job in explaining everything and hopefully look forward to a lot more videos. I'm definitely subscribing
If I could give 2 thumbs up I would! This is the perfect way to do a repair video. It was very explanatory and detailed, covering every possible question I had going into this procedure. Best repair video I’ve seen on UA-cam!
I couldn’t have performed this replacement without your video. Excellent work! Showing which bolts to take out saved a significant amount of time. It would be cool to include torque value. Those 9mm bolts don’t take much to break. Saved me $2,000 plus tax here in Texas. Thanks again
thanks for making this for all of us students of YT university! my day started with poop in my pants to now being confident that i can fix my truck!! THANK YOU!
I'm not sure if you ever get to, but would you maybe be willing to do a full breakdown, repair and rebuild of the 68rfe. I want to learn how to do one so bad and have never had the confidence to do it. But if you do one similar to this video it would be awesome. Thanks again
I changed the solinoid pack on my 07 ram 1500 because it wouldn’t start obviously this supplies power to starter as well ..I replaced it it started up filled with fluid reverse works great but when I put it in drive it’s like it binds the engine will not move at all as if the breaks were on but I know it’s not the brakes or calipers etc any ideas?
How much is that repairI got a 2500 dodge ram 2008 and it makes shift bad after a while of running I got p0700code and p0740 and it said they said transmission control system and torque converter clutch I just change the oil a week ago but I didn’t know how remove other part so am doing this I hope it works thanks great video
Troy...quick question. Would this also be a possible fix for transmission slippage when accelerating quickly? I have noticed this recently, and it has been too long since servicing my transmission, so I did that...but (long story) my solenoid pack was not delivered from a vendor, so I tried the servicing without it..and I still have the same issue. Thanks for any thoughts and for a great video. Nick
Markoosie Hulan In case you didn’t find your answer, I can tell You, no. A regular OBD2 code reader will not preform a quick learn or relearn on a 68RFE or preform any bi-directional functions such as a relearn / quicklearn A OBD2 Code reader is just that, reads DTC’s and maybe give you live data from the sensors it can access. You need a good quality scan tool with bi-direction controls, but even then you want to ask the manufacturer of the scan tool, if it is capable of a Chrysler 68RFE Relearn or Quick learn. I have been looking for a good quality scan tool without breaking the bank. Snap-On like shown in the video are between $3,000 - $12,000 depends on the model , accessories, & subscription that comes with it. Launch X431 ICARSCAN is capable of a quicklearn / relearn and goes for $250. I am leery of it, because with scan tools I have learned you get what you pay for. But I have heard some good reviews about it. Autoenginuity is another good one but is over $1,000 Autel MS906 & MS908 are also capable and are around $1,200 to $2,000 depending where you get it and what accessories you get with it. The list goes on.....

I thought the p0871 was for the solenoid pack
your video helped me a lot tank you
Is this the same procedure for 65RFE in a 2013 Hemi Durango?
Have P0750
Hey great video. Do you think this would help fix a P0740 code as well in a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7
Great video thanks!
Pro trick: watch movies at kaldrostream. Been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Marlon Watson yea, been watching on KaldroStream for since november myself =)

Is this a 68rfe or a 65rfe? I have a 2011 with that same trans but its a 65rfe.
I have a question. I have a 2007 Dodge Durango, I get the error codes of p3425 and another code p0750.
2005 Dodge Dakota only going on reverse, I thought this would fix the problem but I had no luck! Any suggestions?
What year is
How much it’s the cost to repair?
Will a OBD II reader work for the quick learn. Also how long will It take for the computer to pick up the new shift solenoid with out it?

Save the fluid means I’m out. Never
So what do you do if the customer says they don't want the work done? Just eat the cost of new ATF in addition to the labor you just did?
Gaskets work better
