Being an old Tibetan I m very proud of Tenzin Shinin . At such a young age u hav understood v.well about out religion and importance of Tibetan language.plus I salute to ur Amala for such a good guidance.
It was a really good interview. Please make English subtitles available so more people can understand. These conversations need to be seen by more people who are brain washed by CCP.
I was born and grew up in Tibet till 2007 I met both good and bad Chinese ppl also a lot of chinese neighbours schoolmates, but never get discrimination bcz of smell or outlook. So like in India, many Tibetan got bully or beaten by Indian even killed but also a lot of good Indians who love and help Tibetan, so we can't say or use whole name says everyone is bad bcz of few bad ppl's words. Also most Chinese ppl know nothing real situation of Tibet hostory bcz 1: they dont hv outside social media freedom like we have now. 2: they are brainwashed by ccp since childhood. Even many Tibetan inside Tibet dont know real history or situation well specially youngesters. Those who discriminate her bcz of smell I think its not bcz of Tibetan or for all Tibetan, I think may be could have smell its normal for them like nomad cold area they dont take bath much n used to it, but suddenly move to other cities and still may hv old habit and not easy to adapt new life style or weather, coz they are already used to such smell since childhood and dont aware it just like a smoker dont aware his own smell but a non smokers are more sensitive to know it. Just like many Tibetan first came to India not used to weather and Indian food like Dal. Like myself in school time my one deskmate had sipdri(bad smell). I feel lil headache or nose suffer but he himself don't aware at all. So its hard to say bcz of Tibetan they discriminated or bcz of smell they said like that. Anway dont alwys keep it in heart abt that it will hurt you and become deepermory like in psychology says(光环效应Halo effect) eventually may become hatred. So we as a Buddhist or buddha followers we should be honest n stand for fair and truth is more important. Bcz we can lie around ppl but those many spirits and buddhas hv super power they can read our mind and know clearly who is truth and honest.
@emptiness: I believe you are not really being honest about yourself and about the discrimination Tibetans face under Chinese rule! Tenzin has experienced it by herself by attending Chinese run schools. She is telling the truth about Chinese discrimination against Tibetans. It’s not only her but Woser, one of the most welknown Tibetan writer living in Beijing has this to say: when I went to school, the first thing we said was “ Long Live the communist party”! Her awareness of discrimination grew when she moved to Chengdu. There she studied Chinese literature at the South western University for Nationalities. This was a place where she got to know many of China’s other fifty five minorities. “ ONE POINT ALL HAD IN COMMON WAS DISCRIMINATION”. She felt “so suddenly, there it was …. this consciousness of being a minority” in her own words! She witnessed the discrimination faced even by those who tried to fit in. She was living with her mother’s brother, who had joined the communist party at a young age. But every time, he stepped outside of his front door, even he had to carry his identity card and present it at checkpoints. Writes Ian Johnson in his book -SPARK “China’s underground historians and their battle for the future. “This touched him deeply. Here he was a middle aged man being harassed by teenage soldiers”! So, there is no denying the discrimination faced by all those unfortunate nationalities which China calls “minorities”. IT’S A FACT IF LIFE IN COMMUNIST CHINA CLEARLY ENUNCIATED BY PEOPLE LIKE WOESER!!!!!
@@user-vy8mp5sv7b somehow I don't think that is kind of discrimination if I was wrong ,perhaps it's more like culture--shocking ? I am stayed at the contrary to the story ,I am a han Chinese who study and work in Tibet .there are countless times that I am the only han Chinese surrounded by a Tibetan crowd .it's not I am afraid of Tibetan Chinese ,but is kind of extreme lonely .I don't agree that I was discriminated by others though. it's more like a new coming wolf has to start from the bottom of the wolves' society , lost all the advantages which the new wolf has had already from other places .
This could a be v.good response to news media and individuals repeatedly asking whether “The Tibetan course is still alive “. Hope our Tibetan youngsters will watch your interview and get inspired. More power to you girl.
