that's right! to have a welcome home reception service was HUGE cause No One in gospel has been as well traveled as Dr. Harris and Jessie Dixon..her example taught us how to treat our local church body as we dreamed of having our OWN welcome home reception one day MyMy!! I saw the JDs with Paul Simon in England on all three tours, 1973, 1975 and 1980. Ethel Holloway stole the show in 75 and 80 with her vocal on Gone at Last.
@@GospelMusicHistory Actually I saw both shows in 73, 4 of the 5 in 75 but only 1 of the 3 in 1980, (baby daughter had just arrived) still 6 out of 9 isn’t bad. I got to meet them briefly on a couple of occasions.
