Can you please explain the prerequisites of Ansible Software Installation?
Ansible Tower has the following requirements:
-Supported Operating Systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubunty, CentOS
-The latest stable release of Ansible.
-2 GB RAM minimum (4+ GB RAM recommended) ...
-20 GB hard disk.
-64-bit support required (kernel and runtime)
Chef and puppet tool are used in Configuration management tool and their code are written in Ruby Langauge,it's is difficult understand to linux administrator because they don't know Ruby langauge.but Ansible is Easy to manage,Easy to write and Easy to Understand for Linux System Administrator as well as Devpos Engineer,QA, Network Engineer.. that's purpose use of Ansible
I am not sure I agree with you @Alpesh, respectfully. I learned ruby because of my need to write puppet modules and puppet classes. Ruby is a programming language natively installed with Red Hat variants, and I am guessing many other Linux distros as well, depending on what installation cluster you choose. You can also install ruby deliberately after your Linux installation is complete. Finally, puppet is easier to learn to write and the puppet environment offers the ability to quickly generate code with `puppet resource file /etc/motd` for example and then find other attributes of the class you want to add by executing `puppet describe file`.
I have not seen this anything like this for ansible at all. I started learning Puppet 5 years ago and did so quickly. I have yet to begin to determine how to start writing ansible plays/playbooks without having to crack open a book, unlike my experience with puppet.
I rate this free course 100% and 10/10. You guys made this course so much easier to understand and your explanation are simple and sweet. This make all reader and student understand easily. I salute to you. Thank You Very Much.

I had no knowledge of Ansible before watching this video but now I'm pretty sure that I can at least explain to someone what's ansible. Thank You Very Much ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very good video. It looks like the video repeats at minute 24. well, repition is good. Thanks for making an easy to follow video that keeps the viewers interest. Cheers!

Thoughtfully explained for beginners. Appreciate your effort in putting up this video.
It would be great if you could make in depth videos for Ansible configuration and usage. As another user rightly said initial setup needs SSH key exchange for the example given to work as normal.
Glad you enjoyed our video! We have a ton more videos like this on our channel. We hope you will join our community!
Hello. I really like how you explain this installation & the outcome. I am a extreme beginner so I am having trouble installing Ansible. So I am not able to perform the the steps. I have even tried looking up why I am having an issue w/ the installation, however the resolutions online doesn't help me get Ansible installed. I am not able to use "yum" to do it. This is what I am getting when I try to install as follows:
One of the configured repositories failed (Unknown),
and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only
safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this:
1. Contact the upstream for the repository and get them to fix the problem.
2. Reconfigure the baseurl/etc. for the repository, to point to a working
upstream. This is most often useful if you are using a newer
distribution release than is supported by the repository (and the
packages for the previous distribution release still work).
3. Disable the repository, so yum won't use it by default. Yum will then
just ignore the repository until you permanently enable it again or use
--enablerepo for temporary usage:
yum-config-manager --disable
4. Configure the failing repository to be skipped, if it is unavailable.
Note that yum will try to contact the repo. when it runs most commands,
so will have to try and fail each time (and thus. yum will be be much
slower). If it is a very temporary problem though, this is often a nice
compromise:
yum-config-manager --save --setopt=.skip_if_unavailable=true
Can you give me an answer that will help me fix this issue besides the "epe1" answer? Because that didn't work for me. Also I have tried the "yum-confit-manager" options, still a "no go" please help, thanks.
thanks, it was really nice and precise for newbies. :)
Glad to hear that! Thank you for watching!

I think you need to change the name of the slide - Ansible Pull Configuration. Should be PUSH, I suppose.
Good eye! Our mistake.
I want to consolidate the disk usage report from “df -h /” command and sent single email which contains all the host disk usage results. Could you please help me with this ?
Not a bad summary, but ansible (and more importantly yaml) is still a difficult tool to use for complicated setup tasks. It wouldn't hurt if Ansible did a better job of explaining the structure used, plays, tasks, hypens, lists, and variables all seem to have *numerous* special circumstances where they don't work as expected.
Again, good video, ansible just never works right and is def not worth learning now that IBM owns RH.
Greetings! Thank you for your kind words. Spread the word by liking, sharing and subscribing to our channel! Cheers :).
I think you should change the slide name to PUSH conf. but anyway its Very helpful Thanks
Thanks for the tip!
I am new to Ansible as I am learning it as a part of Red Hat's Satellite package. I was a little surprised to see that a root password was stored in a clear text file 4:11). Maybe as I go on a litle more I will find out how that can be but for now it seems like a no no

do you have next level of Ansible tutorial ? If so , please post the link
Not yet. We will be coming up with that soon. Thanks.
Good video but missing lot of simple things to guide the beginners such as generate the ssh between hosts, didn't explain yaml doesn't accept the tab and must be used space instead of tab.

The worst case scenario is to save Nodes password on a file as shown in this vid...
Not to say that you covered a playbook with several hosts, and you don't specify how to run ansible for a specific group.

Can't believe everyone keeps saying this video is excellent. I'm not even halfway through and the person keeps making mistakes and correcting it. Its a recorded and edited video... why would you not restart instead of showing the mistakes? Or edit it out? Also, writing in between the comments in hosts file looked really messy.
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience, but we really appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention
Can not hear clearly what the speaker says.
Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. We reported this right away to the relevant department.

Same thing repeated for 3 Time
Which thing is repeated 3 times?
You’ve managed to explain nothing… You’re just executing commands….
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry you had a bad experience. We’ll strive to do better
