My wife is from Brasov. We just got back a few months ago and are headed back again in March/2024. I absolutely LOVE Brasov! The food, the people, the local beer, the architecture, the land. My wife's family home is literally less than a 10 minute walk from the historic area. We would walk there for a coffee every morning and just sit and watch people. There are so many investment opportunities there too. I'll be starting an investment fund there next year to provide affordable housing (and still make money of course).
they mostly speak Romanian in Moldova, Moldova was part of Romania. The russian, ukrainian and gagauz minorities in the the republic of Moldova speak russian
Hey look ... I'm Romanian an I'm proud how they pronounced, if you are from another country and you don't know the language or how to pronounce it, we respect that you know and we will understand where you have been, I am Romanian and their pronunciation is sweet.... our language is the oldest in the world (I mean Latin) and it is difficult for many to pronounce, and they said how they were able to pronounce the city and it is perfect for us Romanians, it is a great respect, for us it does not matter how you pronounce it, it is important to be present and humane

Yah...we know. It was a slip of the tongue that lots of people have corrected us on 🤣
But thank you for acknowledging their are minorities that speak Russian/Ukranian there. People had me thinking I had gone crazy 🤪
Brasov is lovely! I think I spent my time there hunting for vampires though! Not hiking!
@TheWrightLifeTravelChannel oh we totally did that too!😁
Moldova is not slavic. Dacians came way before the Vikings which in turn never actually made it this far south...
Transylvania was a region of Hungary for 1000 years before romanian occupation in 1918 -1919.
Yeah, it's like a rape, when the woman finally get free you feel uncomfortable because you all most feel her as your wife...
for 1000?, can you prove that..considering that hungary was unde occupation for a few hundred years?

How can you be lost among locals when you cannot even pronounce correctly the city name, which is pronounced as BraSHov? )))
Well, we do try to pronounce it correctly most times, but occasionally, when in front of the camera, you mess up. We're not perfect.
@@lostamonglocals5382 Yeah, sure 😊
Tried so hard that didn't pronounce it correctly even once )))
