I use to use Milo, but after my last few year soil tests and my Phosphorus is so high, I need to stay away from adding anymore of that macro into my lawn. I have about 30 bags just sitting there lol. I sometimes use it on a customer lawn or a commercial property that I maintain.

Have you heard of Microlife fertilizers and soil conditioners? I went from Milo to Microlife two days ago. Hope to amend the soil and get better results in the long run without any chemicals like herbicides etc.
What was the outcome of the microlife? Did it work any better than milogranite?
@@josh01078583 No results yet. Soil amendment takes time. I had applied Microlife Brown Patch and Microgrow last August but everything went dormant in the fall. Just now I applied their fertilizer along with more Brown Patch and Microgrow and Humates Plus. We shall see what happens once it comes out of dormancy once the temp warms up .
The proof is in the pudding, that stuff is legit brah!!!

I put milorganite down 11 days ago. Hasn’t quite greened as quickly but it’s also been like 95 degrees a bunch of the days since I put it down

Milorganite releases slower than most fertilizers. It can take a few weeks to see results but once it kicks in the lawn takes off.
@@oswaldcobblepot502 for sure. I’ll be patient. Still have the greenest lawn on the block so I’m content. Did a lot of overseeding this spring too and avoided pre emergent herbicides so got a few weeds to deal with now. But it was worth it. Got some bare spots nice and filled in. Got myself a lawn striper for Father’s Day as well, looking forward to using it

@@StewartHaasNewman Good deal. Yeah due to circumstances I haven't been able to give my yard much attention since I bought the property. It was an epic jungle when I took it over and has already come a long way since. I missed the window for crabgrass pre-emergent this year but I aerated like 2 or 3 times already this spring, put down a heavy dose of Jonathan Green to help the soil PH, and just recently applied Milorganite at about .9 pounds per thousand. Now it's just water mow and wait.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you use the Webb reel mower for the same cut that you ended up using the Sun Joe for?
Sunjoe is .1 inches higher than the Webb so it makes it easier to mulch the grass into little pieces if I go straight Webb 1” the blades are too long 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
Kentucky Blue grass MUST be cut around 2.5" to 3" approximately every 5 to 7 days to make it look that great.
Oh I want cutting Kentucky blue in this video 11/16ths to 3/4” super low … this season my Kentucky blue rye mix is cut under 1/2” … 3/8ths actually everyday 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

It's not what you think just applying Milorganite will make your lawn greener. All he did was applying the fertilizer and mowing but he didn't tell you about watering the lawn. You have to water the lawn 2x a week. Skip the watering if it rains daily.

I put down multiple bags of milorganite 2 days ago along with All Purpose 10-10-10 fertilizer because it has the potassium that milorganite doesn’t. How do you think this will turn out?

Should be fine. The iron in Milo will help, I’m not sure if your 10-10-10 has any iron in it. Should look nice

This is my 3rd summer using milorganite. Last 2 summers, grass was great. This summer, I’ve got a few burned patches. No idea what’s the cause? Didn’t think milorganite can burn your lawn. Tried to overwater those patches and nothing helped. I started to wonder if a neighbor’s dog was peeing on my yard or something. Any thoughts or solutions? I really liked milorganite

What type of grass are you cutting? I’m in NC with Bermuda at .75 looks like a putting green and pisses off the neighbor’s that pay people to cut and fertilize. Neighbor’s probably hate/envy you for that amazing lawn.

@@YardBrah May sound like a scam but it’s true. I worked in a lab back home and our lab manager you’ll periodically dump some of the specimens we didn’t need into the plants in our waiting room and they were always thriving. She mentioned she did the same at home for her rose garden.

How much should I water it for the 10 day period
I would go the regular 1 1/2 inches for the week I wouldn’t water any different milorganite works when the soil needs it! I do notice it works really well when you water it in heavy after you lay it down thick! 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Which in your opinion is better, Sun joe or Fiskars?
Sunjoe all day! Fiskars needs to spin faster too much washboard ripples in the grass at low height of cut. And it’s lowkey hard to push the Webb h12r is push manual and it’s effortless the fiskars you gotta push it to go lol 😊🙌🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
Once applied does it need to be watered daily?
Milorganite does not need to be watered in it will use the nutrients when it needs it. Milorganite can be applied we or dry so it's really up to the user! I water every other day and there was some rain fall during this video though 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
@@YardBrah Thank you! I applied some Scotts Disease Ex because I have some brown bald areas and then Black Kow compost and finally Milorganite over it and watered it for 5 mins. Did I did good using Disease Ex along with Black Kow?

@@thejailguy4481 well really it does matter where you live and your soil type, just suggesting you do a soil test to see your your nutrients are mostly your macronutrients that would be your NPK ( nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium) since Milo has phosphorus in it even though it’s a small amount, if you are already high in phosphorus you would not want to add more. The most important thing to do before sticking anything down to to figure out where your soils health and nutrients are. That way you can give your lawn what it needs in turn producing a better lawn. Once you have high phosphorus levels, it takes a long time to lower it. Thanks for asking - have a great day

Milorganite gives nutrients to the lawn when it needs it so you don’t have to water. I always water after an application but it’s ok if you don’t 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🔥
