I think I particularly like the narrow strategies, such as the light tank strategy, because in addition to being able to research higher levels you can also produce more of each unit and it overall makes life easier.
Pan Asian is probably the worst doctrine for noobs. They’ll probably make heavy tanks and get shredded in mid game, seen it many times
