They took an already pretty flawed show (in my eyes) and turned it into something even worse. It's a movie. Having no plot kinda can work onstage at some times, but in movies, it's just torture to watch creepy catmen dance around.
Nothing more fun than watching your favorite theatre youtubers watching Cats. Plus, this will hold me off till the inevitable day the movie comes to court in Musical Hell, so bonus.
I've never really watched Andrew speak before. This feels more surreal than the movie.
Same, I listen to the podcast so much, but just discovered this and yeah, super surreal to see it lol
Grinning so much!
Y'all are the best!
"Let's be honest, Andrew Lloyd Webber cannot write women."
NOW WAIT JUST A MINUTE, are you telling me... that Rose Vibert from ASPECTS OF LOVE is not a *FULL* picture of a woman?! Are you saying that the main character of TELL ME ON A SUNDAY being defined entirely by her sexual exploits *wasn't* a detailed picture of a human being?!
(In all seriousness, now that I look back, I'm kind of amazed that SUNSET BOULEVARD turned out to be an excellent show, given how vital a well-written Norma Desmond is to it. Also, I would love you and/or Musical Hell to talk about ASPECTS OF LOVE at some point, because *someone* has to :) )
Watching it now before Universal takes it down
