It didn't save any money, only time. Honestly I'll never do it again. It was a lot of work just doing the ones in the video and there was still another 30+ to build after those. In the future I'll plan better and order the trusses way in advance. Was an experience though so there is that.

It cost roughly the same if not a little more. Only savings was in time. Still more to do too.
I'd be interested to see if this saved you money. I got 2x4 22' trusses for 100$ each not too long ago.
