The sun, moon and stars are God’s True Time/calendar not that famous Gregorian calendar hanging on our walls in our houses. This split in God’s law must be repaired!! All of God’s laws, statutes, judgments and testimonies are just and true! We must do things God’s way or else we will be worshipping him in vain. There will be no good reward. God could possibly allow the Leaders of this world to enforce some type of Sabbath test. Today, there are Sabbath laws/blue laws/Sunday laws on government books. The Gregorian Calendar is not true time. God’s months start with the new moon day. Read 1 Samuel 20. The Gregorian calendar do not start its months with the new moon day. So then, how can Saturday, Sunday, etc. be the true Sabbath? The beast in Daniel 7:25 only thought to change time on paper. For he could not truly change time because it sits in the heavens where no man can tamper with it. God’s months reset every month. Man got their concept from this, for example, “the first and fourth Saturday in April”, “the “first and fourth Saturday in May”, etc. A good example of this can be found in the Word Of God, Luke 6:1. What “second” Sabbath is this? Is it the “second” Sabbath after the creation of Adam and Eve? No!, it was the “second” Sabbath for that particular moon/month. When she is in the wilderness, she will not be using a pocket Gregorian calendar. She will calculate her Sabbaths by the signs above. She was and is never addressed as “mother Ellen”, but was addressed as sister Ellen or Mrs. Ellen. The Sabbath is so special to SDAs that they make it a doctrine of division. If you go to an Adventist "Revelation Seminar" they will slowly make their case for some supposed coming Sunday law (which is supposed to test you about the "Sabbath truth"). These seminars wind down with a call to come out of your "Sunday Keeping" churches and start keeping the true Sabbath. At this point Protestants, Evangelicals (and of course the always evil Catholics), then become the real enemy of God and are labeled as *"nominal churches", "daughters of the whore", "apostate Christianity" and "Babylon"* . This view towards other Christians is nothing more than pure contempt for other Christians. Such name calling is antithetical to the patience and unity that members in the Body of Christ are to exhibit towards one another on matters where we have our differences. Unfortunately, Adventism is very much imbedded with an "us versus them" mentality.

@@Mfield111 The whole notion of the Sunday law concept automatically puts the Adventists on the defense, for they assume that one day other Christians are going to persecute them. They are taught this from birth. Therefore the SDAs starts off with in a state of paranoia with a persecution complex baked right into their theology . A theology which ends up portraying other members of the Body of Christ as the enemy. This "us versus them" mentality is so ingrained in the Adventist psyche that many of them feel that the persecution is naturally coming from these other Christians, who in reality haven't done a thing to Adventists and have no desire to make SDAs worship God counter to their own convictions.

If you read the bible, jesus says in the gospel, if you follow the laws, you are condemned by them. The law was meant to show us our sin, and to point us to the cure. The law wasnt a cure, just a diagnosis. Jesus is the cure. "For if you break even the smallest of the laws, you are guilty of them all." How can you have faith in jesus and yet depend upon the law? The law accuses, reflects to us, our sin, and condems. Jesus saves and gives grace and mercy. The law just simply shows us how wicked we are. The pharisees thought it good and wise to obey the law and jesus called them children of satan. John the baptist called them a brood of vipers. If all of us fall short of God's glory, how can obeying the law, even to a T, get us in to heaven? We still fall short! Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the father but by me." So unless you call jesus a liar, what would make you think following the law would get you closer to God? The only reason I can confidently refute you is because I also saw it your way. Why does the bible tell us to obey them if jesus said He is the only way? It plagued me for years and brought anxiety to me. I only wanted to do what God wanted me to. I didn't want to follow something if it wasn't God. I tried going to clean foods. Tried sabbath only, this only made my anxiety worse, because it felt off as well. I prayed and prayed until finally I got the answer: jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the father but by me." What this means is, since the law was meant to show us our sin, it cannot save us. It can only condemn us, because, like I said earlier, the Bible says "whoever breaks the least of these, is guilty of them all." Following the law only leads to condemnation. But jesus is the cure. The only way. The law condemns. Jesus cures. It's like going to a doctor. He gives you a diagnoses and a prescription. If you take the prescription, you get better. However, if you continuously have the doctor x-ray your arm, it will keep telling you the same thing: your sick, your Injured, an x-ray won't fix the problem, and in fact, repeatedly having it done, can make the problem worse or give you even worse problems....(cancer from over exposure to radiation) now that's a metaphor, but it's a good one if you ask me. Following the law will only make you look and feel more and more sinful because as soon as you break one of the laws, you feel like you messed up and start doing all these religious acts to try to please God into forgiving you. Why would you put yourself through that? Jesus said He is our sabbath rest! Rest in faith in Him, don't run around trying to please God with your Body that is fallen and corrupted. Have faith in christ, for what He did for us! Don't keep holding yourself to the law of death! God said He will make a new covenant for us. A covenant where the law will be written on our hearts. He will dwell in us. Don't let the law continue to tell you what we already know, dont let it condemn you, let jesus cure you. Yes, the law is good, yes the sabbath is good, but jesus said the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. It is not religion, we seek, it is relationship. Worship on the sabbath because you love and are grateful to God, not because you feel it will save you. For only jesus can save, not the sabbath day.

But you are throwing out faith and grace from Jesus' sacrifice if you depend on following them to please God. If it's something you want to do to make yourself a better person? Fine. But no matter what, we cannot please got with our flesh. This is why Jesus said we must worship in the spirit, not the flesh. The law was the flesh, God's grace is of the spirit, by faith. If one follows the laws to please God, but breaks just one, you are guilty of all, all over again. I am not sure what you are saying here. But there are many statements of Elen white that show (as also the adventist church believes) that there are Christians in other Churchs. One very famous quote of EW for example states that the SALVATION ARMY do God's work. And there are other similar statements made by her. The adventist church has always believed that there are true Christians in every denomination. Obviously we believe that some doctrines are more detrimental than others. One of the worst held by JWs is that Jesus is not God.

Many profess believers of Jesus Christ believe that the fourth commandment to keep the Sabbath day holy was nailed to the cross and that we no longer have to keep it, while still embracing the other nine commands. Do you believe this?
Ask yourself this question: which one or ones of the Ten Commandments do Jesus wants us to keep and obey?
The Sabbath command is not only to be kept but it is to be calculated by the Time/calendar God ordained in the beginning of creation, Genesis 1:14. The sun, moon and stars are God’s True Time/calendar not that famous Gregorian calendar hanging on our walls in our houses.
This split in God’s law must be repaired!! All of God’s laws, statutes, judgments and testimonies are just and true! We must do things God’s way or else we will be worshipping him in vain. There will be no good reward.

The Gregorian Calendar is not true time. God’s months start with the new moon day. Read 1 Samuel 20. The Gregorian calendar do not start its months with the new moon day. So then, how can Saturday, Sunday, etc. be the true Sabbath?
The beast in Daniel 7:25 only thought to change time on paper. For he could not truly change time because it sits in the heavens where no man can tamper with it.
God’s months reset every month. Man got their concept from this, for example,
“the first and fourth Saturday in April”, “the “first and fourth Saturday in May”, etc. A good example of this can be found in the Word Of God, Luke 6:1. What “second” Sabbath is this? Is it the “second” Sabbath after the creation of Adam and Eve? No!, it was the “second” Sabbath for that particular moon/month.
The woman in Revelation 12 is the true church. She is surrounded by the sun, moon and stars, the lights in heaven, the signs. The true church keeps God’s Sabbath by the lights in heaven. When she is in the wilderness, she will not be using a pocket Gregorian calendar. She will calculate her Sabbaths by the signs above.
We who now keep Sabbath by God’s Time are fully aware that we do not have all the light on this precious truth. Many of us do not yet completely understand how the stars play their role in God’s Calendar., ‘etc.
But, if we are counted worthy to be amongst the just, we are comforted because the Bible says that, “ The path of the just is as a shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” There is more light to come on this subject. Keep moving forward.

The true Kids of Jacob are still scattered throughout the nations and still are being hated, despised and persecuted. The true Sabbath is calculated by the sun, moon and stars. So, do your research on what you have read in this letter.
This is how I have been taught to keep Sabbath by the lights in heaven.
The first week is, the new moon day, then the six work days and then Sabbath.
Week 2, 3, and 4 is, six work days and then Sabbath. There is never, ever, ever 5 Sabbaths in God’s months as it sometimes is on the Gregorian calendar!
The Father has three category of days, the new moon day, the 6 work days and the Sabbath day. Read Ezekiel 46:1-3 and 2 Kings 4:18-23. They never overlaps each other. The new moon will never fall on the Sabbath day or on one of the six work days, etc.
This information is helpful both now and future because we need to get back to God’s ways and if God should allow man to enforce a “Sabbath Test”, to see if we will keep His Law or no. If such a test is allowed, may we choose wisely.
Let us seriously repent of our evil ways, stop worshiping other gods, talking about one another, stealing, killing, lying, fornicating, adultery, disobedient to parents, etc., etc., etc.

In my culture, we usually refer to someone close to us as aunt or uncle even though not related to us, but they’re still close to our family yet I’m not sure about the context of the referring Ellen White as aunt Ellen.

The Sabbath is so special to SDAs that they make it a doctrine of division.
If you go to an Adventist "Revelation Seminar" they will slowly make their case for some supposed coming Sunday law (which is supposed to test you about the "Sabbath truth"). These seminars wind down with a call to come out of your "Sunday Keeping" churches and start keeping the true Sabbath. At this point Protestants, Evangelicals (and of course the always evil Catholics), then become the real enemy of God and are labeled as *"nominal churches", "daughters of the whore", "apostate Christianity" and "Babylon"* . This view towards other Christians is nothing more than pure contempt for other Christians. Such name calling is antithetical to the patience and unity that members in the Body of Christ are to exhibit towards one another on matters where we have our differences.

Therefore the SDAs starts off with in a state of paranoia with a persecution complex baked right into their theology . A theology which ends up portraying other members of the Body of Christ as the enemy. This "us versus them" mentality is so ingrained in the Adventist psyche that many of them feel that the persecution is naturally coming from these other Christians, who in reality haven't done a thing to Adventists and have no desire to make SDAs worship God counter to their own convictions.

Well, if you actually read the Bible, you should read exodus 20:8 bc it says "Remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy"
If you read the bible, jesus says in the gospel, if you follow the laws, you are condemned by them. The law was meant to show us our sin, and to point us to the cure. The law wasnt a cure, just a diagnosis. Jesus is the cure. "For if you break even the smallest of the laws, you are guilty of them all." How can you have faith in jesus and yet depend upon the law? The law accuses, reflects to us, our sin, and condems. Jesus saves and gives grace and mercy. The law just simply shows us how wicked we are. The pharisees thought it good and wise to obey the law and jesus called them children of satan. John the baptist called them a brood of vipers. If all of us fall short of God's glory, how can obeying the law, even to a T, get us in to heaven? We still fall short! Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the father but by me." So unless you call jesus a liar, what would make you think following the law would get you closer to God?
The only reason I can confidently refute you is because I also saw it your way. Why does the bible tell us to obey them if jesus said He is the only way? It plagued me for years and brought anxiety to me. I only wanted to do what God wanted me to. I didn't want to follow something if it wasn't God. I tried going to clean foods. Tried sabbath only, this only made my anxiety worse, because it felt off as well. I prayed and prayed until finally I got the answer: jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the father but by me." What this means is, since the law was meant to show us our sin, it cannot save us. It can only condemn us, because, like I said earlier, the Bible says "whoever breaks the least of these, is guilty of them all." Following the law only leads to condemnation. But jesus is the cure. The only way. The law condemns. Jesus cures. It's like going to a doctor. He gives you a diagnoses and a prescription. If you take the prescription, you get better. However, if you continuously have the doctor x-ray your arm, it will keep telling you the same thing: your sick, your Injured, an x-ray won't fix the problem, and in fact, repeatedly having it done, can make the problem worse or give you even worse problems....(cancer from over exposure to radiation) now that's a metaphor, but it's a good one if you ask me. Following the law will only make you look and feel more and more sinful because as soon as you break one of the laws, you feel like you messed up and start doing all these religious acts to try to please God into forgiving you. Why would you put yourself through that? Jesus said He is our sabbath rest! Rest in faith in Him, don't run around trying to please God with your Body that is fallen and corrupted. Have faith in christ, for what He did for us! Don't keep holding yourself to the law of death! God said He will make a new covenant for us. A covenant where the law will be written on our hearts. He will dwell in us. Don't let the law continue to tell you what we already know, dont let it condemn you, let jesus cure you. Yes, the law is good, yes the sabbath is good, but jesus said the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. It is not religion, we seek, it is relationship. Worship on the sabbath because you love and are grateful to God, not because you feel it will save you. For only jesus can save, not the sabbath day.

Here the apostle informs us that the decalogue, the very *_Ten Commandments - carved on tablets of stone_* , were a *ministry that brought death* and *condemnation* , and were *being brought to an end* because this ministry has now been *abolished* .
So how could the Sabbath still be so centrally important if Paul says all this about the Ten Commandments?

We know that it's not Sabbath, and we know that we (Gentiles) are not required to keep Sabbath according to the NT.

was at an sda chruch recently i really like a lot of ehst they do. Teh pastor got up and started talking about White.. how she held her breath for 4 hours and exhibited super human strength.... not a good look.
In the New Testament, but believers started celebrating the Lord’s Day, which is on a Sunday. We are free in Christ! He is our leader, and He will lead us each in the right way. If we all believe in the same Jesus Christ, let us treat each other as brothers and sisters, and not enemies. Christ prayed that we would be united, so don’t allow darkness to use these petty arguments in order to divide us.
The Lord's day is the Sabbath, not Sunday. And all through the book of Acts you'll see they all kept the 7th day. Noone can change his holy day.

But there are many statements of Elen white that show (as also the adventist church believes) that there are Christians in other Churchs.
One very famous quote of EW for example states that the SALVATION ARMY do God's work.
And there are other similar statements made by her.
The adventist church has always believed that there are true Christians in every denomination.
Obviously we believe that some doctrines are more detrimental than others.
