Lovely methodical build! Questions so far...
What benefit do you find applying poly with precision nozzle and then Tamiya thin poly over the join?
Is the Vallejo Mecha black better than say, Vallejo acrylic polyurethane primer (which comes in a big bottle)?

Hi Blootered, I think the poly with the precision nozzle helps created a stronger bond in my opinion. But if you don't have the precision Tamiya works fine as well. But instead of using their brush, I use a bigger brush to add in my cement.
Ok so the Vallejo primer question....that is a bit tricky. Because I talked to Vallejo and they told me that the Mecha primers and their regular primers are the pretty much the same with a slight difference. i don't know what that slight difference is.....but I think that slight difference makes Mecha primers better. They seem to airbrush better and the finish seems nicer to me. So I use their Mecha primers. I also found if you add in my thinning mixture into the primers they work better and sand better after only 40 mins.

@@arewethereyetmodeling2196 Do you really thin the primer with Future and not acrylic thinner?
Do you have experience with Ammo One Shot Primer?
Great job you are doing btw!

@@marcusaureliusantoninusaug2161 hey, I really do thin Vallejo primers with Future. It does several things. It helps the primer airbrush better, it causes the primer to become stronger, and helps the primer cure faster. Normally you need to give Vallejo primers 24 hours minimum to dry and cure. But with future it cures in 50 mins or so. This way you can sand the primer without it gumming up. But now that Future has been discontinued, I use my thinner mixture. You can find the mixture video in my channel. It does the same thing.
Yes, I have used One Shot primer. One shot primer is Badger primer rebadged for Ammo. Personally I think Badger/one shot is much better than Vallejo primer. I think it using my mixture thinner formula. It goes on smooth and is super tough.
