Thanks! The ETF our portfolio most closely aligns to is NOBL, but the reason we decided to skip the ETF and instead buy the stocks inside of it is to 1. avoid expense ratios and 2. to get a higher volume of dividend payments spread over time. We check up commonly to make sure nothing has gone wrong with our holdings, the big one being if a companies cuts or decreases their dividend
Thanks for the videos. Just subscribed. Gotta request already! Can you do a video explaining taxes with dividends, capital gains, income, and etc. Thanks! I know its boring but important!
Hi! Great question - we constantly get updates/check up on payments and on rare occasion they do get cut. This is DEFINITELY something you want to get to the bottom of!!! We identify the reason why they got cut, and from there make an informed decision on whether to keep that company in our portfolio. For example, maybe they may have cut their dividend as they are investing into more green alternatives to get an XX% return in the future OR they simply cut their dividend as they are not making enough profits to sustain their current payout. If it is the former, we will decide if it is worth keeping, and the latter, then we will remove it from our portfolio. Overall theme is that we are investing into companies with consistency and slow growth!
