I saw Rosie O’Donnell when she was first starting out in a club on Long Island. She started asking me questions as part of the act. She asked me several questions about my husband who was very good looking and who was sitting next to me. She was funny and kind. You always know where she stands on things and I appreciate her honesty.

Rosie, in 1996 my sister watched your show because you cheered her up. If you should see this, my biggest regret is that I didn’t contact your show to ask you to call her. She died of cancer in December and how great her pleasure would’ve been to have heard from you. Thanks for the joy you gave her.

She's being kind here...Carol Burnett has been under the show business magnifying glass for almost seven decades...and she's just as kind and genuine today as she was when she started...Ellen was finally exposed for who she really is...which boggles my mind that folks didn't see it much sooner. And for the record-I think Rosie's interviews with folks were so much more personal, empathetic, and genuine than Ellen's.

I didnt like the show because Ellen's funny and kind had a very hateful undertone so I really wasn't suprised when years later things unraveled. My point is, it had nothing to do with timing and I think Rosie is really biting her tongue on this and that's her choice.

Rosie is so kind to not attack Ellen even after she wasn't particularly nice to her. If you watch her interview with Andy Cohen, she references a time when Ellen totally threw her under the bus on Larry King. ...technically agreed. I use my life experience in being socially responsible personally, for my own, and others consideration. I put society benefits ahead of my own (self). I feel Ellen, became too confident that she was "clever", "witty", and was well received by others, making her...cocky and manipulative (w/guests ), which reflected back to viewers who seem to pick up on her seemingly "false" empathy. For myself, i felt her show became "fake", like, who are these audience participants so easily manipulated to reduce their self worth to zero, for Ellen to cut them off, or humor them w/a disguised insult. NOT my kind of entertainment. Too bad because early on i enjoyed watching the "LUV" she put out...

Ellen catered to an audience of people who wanted feel-good, light and fairly low brow entertainment. Imagine fronting up to face the cameras for nineteen years and being expected to act goofy and pleasant despite being smart and very capable of striking a tough deal. People are naive to think that celebrities are actually like their public persona. Ellen met her contract and retained the persona adopted to attract a midday audience. We do not really know Ellen Degeneres off-set and need to stop expecting a celebrity to be like their stage persona.

Rosie is the bomb she’s one of the most talented comedians to grace television-Never forget when she did a routine on television before she was famous about being at her sisters friends bridal shower and having to be excited as the host opens a gift and says paprika ooh Sage ooh-from that moment. I was hooked on her wry sensibility-her amazing observations and brilliant sense of humor-like Ellen she’s had to deal with the haters and bear that cross-silly me to ask why-when these powerful creative talents of women have given their lives to entertaining the world-and making it a better place a much better place why aren’t they just lauded- Love you Rosie and Ellen too💕tracy

Yes, of course. This issue is about successful women and how the world just can't wait to tear down the successful lives and careers of ALL successful women in our society. That is totally what happened here.
We will simply choose to ignore that this woman was a hateful beast, brutal to both her guests and the hired staff she went to work with every day. Poor, little pitiful Ellen.. I know I'll be home playing the violin for the remainder of her non-existent career, that was rightfully taken from her by the same woke mob that she helped empower. This is the definition of irony and it hurts so good when a total 💩 human being lives long enough to see their demise-as a direct result of their monstrous behavior. Save your Wokestani words of wisdom for the imbeciles out here who shill for such causes. More and more people are waking up to the fact that wokeisms, worldwide, are simply the latest method in which the ultra rich, powerful and overtly Satanic can control the narrative..
Not anymore though. You will see for yourself these next few Novembers, BetaBritches. 💯🤏😉

I agree. Ellen was often unkind. To guests, to staff. She seemed to enjoy it when someone was afraid or humiliated. Like making that male staff member wear short shorts - if the roles were reversed we wouldn't have stood for it. Or the female production member who she teased incessantly about embarrassing topics - there was no need. I stopped watching her show years before it ended. It's no fun to see people humiliated.

Being held accountable for your bad behavior is what is needed. When you are a boss you need to understand you wouldn't have what you have without your employee's. If you step on them then it will come back at you. We live in a time where social media gives those who are mistreated a platform. That platform holds the abusers accountable. If your a shitty person it comes out. Being "nice" on camera has nothing to do with it. Treat others how you want to be treated. If you are called out on your behavior then sit back and reflect. If you change the world is forgiving. If you don't you get canceled. This isn't cancel culture here. It is accountablitiy cutlure. You as an idividual have no right to treat others as you please. Ellen - Its time to reflect and change. The world is forgiving if you change and do better moving forward. You have worked so hard doing many good things but your bad behavior has erased so muuch of that.

See, Ellen tried so hard to kiss celeb’s asses. And it shows. But don’t piss her off…Not sure why. Like the episode when Cher jokingly called her a “bitch!” during a game segment they played. She was bitter as hell after that. Only bc Ellen was trying to be funny and manipulate Chers words. And Cher was not there for it. “No, that’s not what I meant.. Bitch!” and everyone just laughed it off. But not Ellen. She looked at the camera, “…wow, ok, we’ll be right back-well, I will be. My guest, on MY SHOW, won’t be.” 😵🤣🤣
Meanwhile Rosie may have been pleasant or “the be kind lady” but she wasn’t KNOWN as that, in my mind…she REALLY related and talked to people. And Lord knows Rosie is outspoken enough as it is, even in the 90s; people knew “you don’t fuck with Rosie,” even way before “speaking her mind” on the View and stuff. Which btw, I read a comment that said “everything Rosie ever said on the View has aged like fine wine, meanwhile people like Ellen are being exposed left and right.” So true 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I’m noticing a sudden Rosie resurgence for 2023, and beyond. People are seemingly rewatching her show, commenting how her interviews are so real w everyone; it’s true, from kids to politicians and every person in between. Famous or not. Ellen’s funny and goofy, but her guest-host connection was never super “deep” - and that could be her friendly but aloof Aquarius nature (I am aqua as well though not like Ellen lol). Rosie is a 100% Leo lioness. All about that loyalty, realness and entertainment value, too!
