    It's so weird how Andy has been hosting a talk show this long and still has basically zero instincts when it comes to follow-up questions or knowing when to pivot to the next topic. Rosie was dishing some really interesting, unfiltered gossip about her fight on The View, and Andy just abruptly goes "OK, onto the next caller!" And he does that A LOT.

I met Rosie at both an event for Aids and when she produced the Lee Bowery show. She has a lot of heart. She is direct and bright, her comments come from the right place.

Rosie came into a meeting and saw the baby in the producer's arms and asked if it was the director's baby and everyone reacted negatively towards her for asking. A friend had a nervous breakdown the day after the election. Her psychiatrist told her that there was an epidemic in hospitals across the country of women of all ages being admitted for mental health issues. She said there were also many young men attempting suicide in fear for their future. Medical journals will some day report on The Trump Effect in psychiatric medicine.

      I never really thought about it that way until she said it, but there does seem to be an absolute of avalanche of sexual abuse revelations coming out and you have to ask yourself "Why now? What or who set all of this off?" And the Trump angle makes a lot of sense.

    • @creamfilled08
      @creamfilled08 6 років тому +10

      Yes it does. Both men and women called into the crisis line that night saying they were triggered by the election. People are talking and it seems now the media is finally paying attention. Will there be a change for the better is still very much up in the air. All we have is the truth on our sides and hope that telling our stories will make positive changes.

    • @2theOmega
      @2theOmega 6 років тому +2

      What exactly did they do wrong to Rosie? I mean... she's talked about this split screen thing, but even had they not done the split screen, Rosie and Elisabeth were going off on each other. So would she have preferred that we only saw one person as they were screaming at each other? I think that would've portrayed a bias to one cohost over the other, which would've been even worse. Plus the, "Why didn't they go to commercial" act just doesn't work because Sherri Shepherd tried to throw to commercial and Rosie said, "No, we still have time," and continued to argue with Elisabeth.

    • @gallery7596
      @gallery7596 6 років тому +2

      Yeah, I don't understand how the split screen was so offensive; you're just seeing more of what was going on at that moment, and it seemed to start when Elizabeth stuck up for W. as Joy was listing the reasons she thought he was a terrible president. nobody forced Rosie to jump in and start calling Elizabeth a coward. That's a fight those two could've had off camera but Rosie just couldn't contain herself.
