Hi Ferntree Gully Nissan. Bought my 2020 QASHQAI from you guys a few years ago. Been enjoying it immensely. This video was very helpful. One question though... Does the QASHQAI have a boot release that I can activate whilst sitting in the driver's seat? I often pick up family members loaded with shopping and would like to release the boot from inside the car. I will pull to the side of the road and keep car running whilst they load shopping into boot. Other cars have boot releases inside at drivers front. The best ones have a boot release on the key fob, which is great if i am loaded with stuff and dont have to fiddle with opening the boot via those little buttons on the back of QASHQAI.

Hey Scott, i believe on the 2014 it had a memory stick just next to the cd player insert. You can then purchase a new one from your closest Nissan dealer.
Replaced and confirmed voltage of new fob battery but warning message on start up persists. I did switch fobs initially but that was flat also. Does the car need to see both fobs with fresh batteries to clear the warning ???
Google search implies this is a widely experienced issue but no answer exists.
If both keys are in the car it will still detect the flat spare key. If only 1 key is present the warning should go away.
@ferntreegullynissan5352 Nah. It doesn't clear. Fob I'm using had the battery changed and when the warning persisted, I reopened it and checked 3.2V present. Other fob is in house. Been like it for months. Just will not go away, hence my theory if I exposed the other fob to the car but with its battery replaced also, would it then clear.

For 2018 Skypack lock horn doesn't work.
Dose the QQ have a hidden battery that supports the main battery and also supports Stop/Start
Hi, the key has a magnetic responder which when the battery is flat you hold the key to the start button and the magnetic sender tells the start button its ok to start.
@@ferntreegullynissan5352 Hi thanks for your reply but I have a stop/start fault and was wandering if the QQ had any hidden battery that maybe people don’t know about that helps the main battery with things like the stop/start.
I have had my battery tested by a specialist and it’s all good but I am still getting this fault?
Hi there - could I ask a query about the brand new Tekna qashqai - is there anyway to disable the chirp sound every time you open and close the rear boot.

Hi Paul, unfortunately no there is not. That chirping is to warn people the tailgate is opening or closing. You can deactivate the power tailgate all together but you will then beed to open it manually.

Hi, i imagine the noise you are refering to is when you cycle the car onto accessories without starting the car? This would turn on just the radio. That chime may only happen when the door is open.

Hey Sam, Unfortunatly there wasnt a way to open the boot from inside the car, was only able to be operated via the button on the outside of the tailgate. From a security perspective, the boot wouldnt allow you to open it while the car is running so that noone would be able to access the boot while you were up the front driving.
Nissan Qashqai notifications or Window roll down Does not work in the United Kingdom

No I do not know if the feature works in the UK Qashqai
It does, I have a 2017 Tekna, the window roll down/up does work.......well, on mine anyway. Try holding the lock/open button for 5-10 secs!

All this is in the big manual. People barely read the quick one. Ive just got the Qash e-Power & a near 500 pages big manual. Nissan's are complicated to Renault. Ive had many mobility Renaults & they are quite straightforward but this is my first Nissan & its very complex. I nearly got smashed up taking it home with all these warnings beeping & my wheel shaking. Too many warnings on them that really will cause a accident. Ive switched off as much as I can & be in control. If you do 31mph in a zone up comes the warnings. Ridiculous.
Finally they learn from Germans who have this security features 20 years ago..
