I may be biased as hell as a Bears fan but come on. Devin Hester was absolutely dangerous! He was as huge as Urlacher and Briggs who are also in the Hall of Fame.
I can’t believe he is in the Hall of Fame. He is the only return man to make it in the Hall of Fame. He has changed the game forever. It’s about time!!!🏈🏈🏈🏈
The way I've been saying it for a while now is that if you were so good at what you do that teams changed their gameplan around you, then you absolutely deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. Glad to see Devin finally get the nod.
I have watched this game for 40 years and Devin is the most exciting player I have ever seen! You didn’t sit down on kicks and punts, everyone counts the TD’s but the amount of times he flipped the field on 20,30,40 yard returns was just as valuable.
HOF, come on. I've NEVER experienced a football thrill that surpassed the breathless, suddenly-smiling anticipation of seeing the rare kick/punt that actually was headed to Hester's breadbasket. Does the Hall not remember? The man changed the game. Opposing teams kicked away from this man more than anyone else, ever, by far. Because it just took once. One time. You kick it to him one time, and the game is different. The Bears' defense was good, and kept games close. Then the opposing team would make ONE mistake. They'd kick in his vicinity instead of out of bounds. And Deven Hester would be who they thought he was. Devin Hester is ridiculous. 1 of 1.
His resentment is 100% justified. Most electric Bear we’ve ever had. I’ll never forget that Arizona game or that superbowl opening kickoff return. I was like 9. Bears for life.
Devin Hester was pure electricity on the field. He was lethal every time he touched the ball. He is one of the Bears I will never forget like Walter Payton, Mike Brown, Charles Tillman, and Brian Urlacher. Devin Hester is pure class and represents what this team is all about. So happy he made the Hall of Fame. You have so many fans Devin, Chicago loves you.
The rule literally was changed because of Devin Hester. Not a lot of people know that. They moved where the ball was kicked from on kick return because they needed it more difficult for Hester to get TD returns
hes always been the best returner he was the star of the team when I was going up idk why i feel like he was still a better receiver than he gets credit for
Hester brought a lot of great moments and memories that I shared with my kids when we watched our Bears every Sunday . Hester is the GOAT of kick returns
I've never had More fun watching a bears games that I remember..(I was 4 in '85)... He single handedly changed the kick off..... He was ROBBED....HESTER TO THE HALL!!!!!!
This man should have been in the Hall of Fame the very first time he was eligible! Look at all the special teams players inducted and tell me if Devin Hester does not top them all! Come on now Devin Hester HOF 24
You never as a woman if she’s pregnant You never buy half price sushi And you never kick the ball to Devin Hester Absolutely changed the view of the KR position. Deserved to be first Ballot
There won't be another guy like him. No one will ever impact special teams in Pro Football like Devin Hester did. The only guy who has really been impacting special teams after him has been Justin Tucker.
Don't worry! First, Mongo is a lock, as are the other two seniors and Buddy Parker, the coach/contributor candidate. At the end of the voting process is a "yes-no" vote on each candidate (the five modern-era, three seniors and coach/contributor) with each one requiring 80% yes. This is the stage that Mongo is at; the voters have not rejected a candidate at this stage since 2017, and have not rejected a senior candidate at this stage since 2012. Second, these are separate processes, so Mongo getting in does not directly impact Hester, and vice-versa. The only way it could is if voters held Hester back a year because of Mongo to reduce the number of Bears and spread the love, but that would be the opposite of what they did last year when they elected two Jets (Klecko/Revis) and two Cowboys (Howley/Ware). So don't worry about Mongo!
I've never known any other player that would stop fans who had to use the bathroom or eat from going at halftime because they couldn't risk not making it back to watch Hester return the 2nd half kickoff
The only thing more incomprehensible than Devin Hester not yet being in the HoF is that Charles Tillman isn't even talked about as a realistic candidate. 6th all time for forced fumbles? Only one other DB is even in the top 70. Peanut had a hand in more turnovers than all the CBs inducted in recent years, shut down Megatron in his record setting season, had All-Pro and Pro Bowl seasons, was named Walter Payton Man of the Year and, the absolute clincher, has a football technique named after him. How many Hall of Famers can lay claim to the latter?
The fact that the opening play of the Super Bowl which is well scripted by the kicking team and DH takes it to the house should have been the final discussion in the year 1 vote. It just shows how biased people are.
You guys traded Justin felids for a baby who cry in his mom’s arms after we don’t win a game this is so dumb. Caleb will start locker room drama watch.
You know he changed the game when he made the kick-offs and the punts a much watch TV. No more going to the bathroom between the possession changes when Hester was returning the ball.
Limited intellect & poor grammar aside - he firmly established that he BELONGS in Canton, & SHOULD HAVE made it in on his first ballot. Completely undeniable. The political aspect of those who decide to grant membership is befuddling & asinine.
Appreciate the compliment because you talking to him HOF... 🥶🥶🥶
I may be biased as hell as a Bears fan but come on. Devin Hester was absolutely dangerous! He was as huge as Urlacher and Briggs who are also in the Hall of Fame.
Briggs not in the Hall.
@@AEG112363 ahh dang...well he's one to me!

If there is a punter in the HOF, which there is, then Devin belongs in as well, period!!!

✌️✝️
THIS MAN... returned an opening kick... for a TD... in the Super Bowl... nuff said
In 2008 my son was born and I named him Devin. Hester was so special and electrifying. He’s a Hall of Famer in my book.
My second daughter was born today and her middle name is Gale after Gale Sayers and my first daughter middle name is Payton after Walter Payton.
It Happened. About time. Thank God!!!
My first bears jersey i ever bought with my own earned money when i was 10🐻⬇️! I pray he truly makes it this year he truly deserves it!🔥
He was my first jersey first favorite player when I was 6 when we went to the Super Bowl
Same here.
This is your year Superman, this is your year! 🐻⬇️
Much love 23!
HOF, come on.

Devin definitely deserves to get in

Greatness 🫶
Honestly in all my years watching football, dont think there was anyone i looked forward to seeing more even of it was only 5 times a game or less.

Narrator said, 4.43 speed 😆 He ran a 4.33 as a Jr in HS, 4.41 at the combine with a pulled hamstring and a 4.27 when healthy

Chicago GOATs wearing #23 in Chicago:
- Michael Jordan: GOAT of GOATS (Bulls)
- Devin Hester: HOF All-Time Returner (Bears)
- Jermaine Dye: World Series MVP (White Sox)
- Ryne Sandberg: HOF 1st Baseman (Cubs)
- Kris Versteeg: 2-time Stanley Cup Champion (Blackhawks)

“Hester we aren’t scared of u” lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The GOAT 🐐
He made it
Fan since the ‘85 Bears. Saw Payton at the end of his career but Hester is my favorite Bear of all time. (Urlacher is 2nd.)
I swear to God if they don't put him in the HOF I'm going to lose it
You never as a woman if she’s pregnant
You never buy half price sushi
And you never kick the ball to Devin Hester
Absolutely changed the view of the KR position. Deserved to be first Ballot
Get it Right
He was the Barry Bonds of Kick Returners
Nobody like him and because of the kickoff rule changes, there will be nobody else like him. Hall of Famer.
Ahhh but Cordarelle Patterson is close
@@squidparty2000 nowhere near
@@squidparty2000 Nah. Bears fans watched 'em both. They're different animals man. Patterson's incredible. But he's not the same beast as Hester.
There won't be another guy like him. No one will ever impact special teams in Pro Football like Devin Hester did. The only guy who has really been impacting special teams after him has been Justin Tucker.

getting fresh prince vibes. "how come they dont want me man?"
Who knows how many returns for TD’s Devin would have gotten if teams actually kicked to him every single punt. I gotta believe at least 40. At least
DH23 was the reason the kickoff got pushed up 10yrs and now teams are able to get down field and you don't see returns as much anymore
Bear
