Great video. I really liked that you made it so long to show just how much persistence and perseverance it takes to catch these fish. I honestly watched every minute. There's a reason I don't do this type of fishing.... I just simply don't have that amount of patience. Not even close. Fishing is a skill, but that level of patience is a skill all by itself, and one that I haven't mastered. Great video, well done.
Thanks very much Rob, really appreciate the comments. Chasing the big ones is definitely a whole different type of fishing hey. Great to hear you enjoyed the video!
Such an awesome video lubin watched it too many times ! Love all your fishing, not only are you one of the cod masters but such a nice bloke, thanks for all your time videoing and sharing with us master lubin
Brilliant video just the enjoyment of floating down that majestic river with all that beautiful scenery some rain some sun a lot of hard work but all worth it and a couple of nice cod i will get there one day to do that what a fantastic backyard you have
Loving the vlog. Tough to set hooks instantly when you’ve had hundreds and hundreds of casts. The river lulls you into a trance of sorts. Cod don’t give u a second chance too often.
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 loved it mate. I'd love to do a trip like that. This covid stuff ain't helping. Looks like you did it just at the right time.
What an epic trip! Five days of solitude and just the sounds of the boofs, screaming spools and vibrating Tremors. Awesome video, great editing. Looking forward to your next adventure. Keep up the great work.
Another great video, that spot where you got your first fish is the same spot I landed my PB for a topwater trout cod. There is a very big fish in that area that has busted off a lot of local fishermen using some pretty heavy leaders. Also that section of river always runs that fast. But that just adds to the challenge Keep up the great work showing us mere mortals how it's done.
Another awesome fish and video mate, thanks for sharing! You should try and do a video on your boat fit out and the setup you run when you do these trips, would be cool. Cheers.
I counted 10,001 casts. Wholey shit dude 5 days of topwater from sun up to sun down is well bloody incredible perisitance and just shows the diagonal grind in the flow. Enjoyed that one.
I was about to comment and suggest adding more split rings to your rear treble. I kept getting surface hits that would completely miss the target. adding spilt rings is defo the way to go. epic video mate. that stretch of river looks sooooo nice.
Awesome video mate just went out for my first cod trip got belted off top and snapped the braid something I'll never forget can't wait to actually catch one hahaha
Thanks mate. I take 6 x 120 amp/hr batteries with me and have the solar panel to top them up over the week. I also have a 100amp battery that does all the accessories and starts the boat motor.
Although I enjoy your videos , how about being more realistic ? I’ve been fishing for 50 years and you can’t tell me every cast is perfect and you don’t have to motor in from time to time to unhook your lure from a log

It definitely helps that is for sure, sometimes though they can completely miss the lure too.. Thanks for watching

Geez that sucks man! you'll get him next time

Could a video be done explaining what kit you take for a 5 day mission
Many thanks mate and yep that's a good idea for a vid!
Absolutely love these vids mate. Love your work. Soo jealous
Cheers mate, appreciate the comments!
Mate bloody hard work, must have missed you either side of you trip, was down there for 4 days around the same time
Cod fishing is always hard work Phil! hopefully you got a couple
Yet another cracking vid lubin!!
Cheers Damien!
Fair bit of flow in the river. Great clarity too. Heading to Morgan for 5 days in June, hoping for good weather and water quality.
Good luck!
Cracking vid, unfortunate you lost those fish, especially that big one. Loved the extra long cod vid🙂. Keep it up
That big one really hurt! Great to hear you enjoyed it man!
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 always loving it😍

@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 awesome looking forward to it!
Brilliant vid mate!!!
Thanks heaps mate 🤙
Awesome as always mate!!!
Thanks mate
The amount of big fish I’ve had hit me off the top right at the boat .. why not retrieve all the way to the boat …
My man ! Get the fly game going :D
I actually love fishing conventional for big cods but I have many requests for the fly, maybe one day!
Wicked mate
Thanks man
Great video! How many battery’s do you take with you?
Yep good question, plus I noticed a solar blanket. Do run anything else off the batteries? Great trip and some quality fish. Well done.
Thanks mate. I take 6 x 120 amp/hr batteries with me and have the solar panel to top them up over the week. I also have a 100amp battery that does all the accessories and starts the boat motor.
which side do you choose to fish?
Great video, epic trip! What rod/reel setup do you use?
Thanks mate, here's a link to the gear

Terrific
Thank you!
What an awesome video Lubin. Excelled yourself mate. Was this right up river in Vic? The scenery is amazing along with the fish!
Cheers Kevin. Yep up in vic, amazing place!
hi just wondering what size clips you use and are they fast clip thanks
Hi Peter, yep they’re fast clips, I’m not exactly sure of the size as I just use the ones that come in the packet with the tremor
ok thanks I am using 100 lb mustard
Hey mate, what brand swivel are you running on your tremors? Been using a snap but paranoid it's going to come off
Hey mate, I just use a split ring and tie straight to that
So Many Snags, So little time :) ....... it will take two lifetimes to work them all over :)
I know lol there’s so much to do!
U toss the surface lures all day or just in poor light as well as dawn/dusk?
I cast them all day, you never know when its going to happen
If winding fast and missing fish is the answer, why do you only slow down after missing fish? Shouldn’t you be speeding up.
Epic
🤙🎣
Over 100 at least
Lost count at 10 no joke 😅
Although I enjoy your videos , how about being more realistic ? I’ve been fishing for 50 years and you can’t tell me every cast is perfect and you don’t have to motor in from time to time to unhook your lure from a log
Haha I’m definitely guilty of a cast up the tree or two!
