      I hear That !
I still remember one particular exhibition game LL-at-bat, Way back in April of 1984. I was a month away from turning 14. We played in the High-school field, which was 305, instead of the 265 distance in the Senior division LL-field. I hit the ball about 285 ft. They were playing me Very Shallow cause they didn't think that I could hit the ball more than 200 ft. I was Very Small for my age. Around 4'11 and 90 lbs soaking wet at that time. I had been lifting weights in preparation for that season though. Obviously I built some crazy tendon strength from that 2 months of pre-season weight-training. Anyway, about that ball that I hit. I only got a double out of it. Would've likely been a Home-Run in the standard Senior League LL-Field, unless that one acrobatic chubby Pirates player from the early 2010's was out there in left-field. Travis something. He robbed a Mets player of a Home-Run, back in 2012. I still remember that.

Batting you never forget that feeling of getting a hold of one, youth baseball into little league are some of my favorite memories of my youth. I had a kid like that on a t-ball team. He didn't homer one, but the kid could play. He should never have been in t-ball, but was too young not to be. I had to warn other coaches when we were batting so he could get his players alert in case Tyler smoked one. He wasn't a huge kid, he just loved baseball. My wife would see him running errands with his mom and he'd have his uniform on eight hours before a game. He brought posters of his favorite players to the chain fence dugout one time and asked if I could hang them up. He was worlds better than any of the other players but you never knew it the way he interacted with teammates and opponents. Great kid.

The other kids aren't better than you..they just have different circumstances impacting their success. You can shine too...you just gotta take a different road to get there.

Not to take anything away from this kid, cause a home runs a home run. Does that field look extra small to anyone else? The field my kids play youth ball on are 200, and this looks significantly smaller than that. Just saying

I was at bat and I hit a hard line drive grounder that went between SS and 3B and it went to the outfield. I ran so fast and made it back to home plate while the ball was still in the outfield. It was so tall that he would pop it to the fence, it would hit off of the middle/top of the fence, and he would be at 2nd by the time it hit the ground. He also had enough speed to make it to home because of the outfielders bad arms as well

I fucking love this sport, I'm from the UK, I hate our "Football" with the players constantly falling over and faking injury to try and win a free kick to score and how adult fans (Hooligans) act like children and fight etc, I've followed baseball and everything from the fans to the teams are always wholesome, it's a true sport when everyone enjoys the skill and respects the rules. This video is amazing, I'd love to be American and have been there with my son, it's honestly the best sport in the world.

Not to brag, but when I pitched in coach pitch I led the league in no-hitters. They'd have been perfect games but at least once a game I beaned a kid to send a message.

  • @EthanT333

First of all, they are on a t-ball field in coach pitch, second of all, I’m coaching my little brothers team in coach pitch, and the best player in our league wouldn’t be able to hit over a tball fence
