Your face when you say "nextly" at 1:45 is brilliant

Spirt
What about taking it apart? Would you also be able to create a short "Safe Disassembly" video as well?
Good question! Please check out this video. :) It's not a Beginner's Shamisen, but the same method. - ua-cam.com/video/YRqNFFEeZXE/v-deo.html
do you know anything in regards to re skinning a Shamisen ? I'm trying to help a local music shop with a repair job!
Thanks for the imformation Kyle
I'm thinking of buying a Shamisen with my PFD (an Alaska thing).
Should I buy one of these or a used one on Ebay?
I'm thinking a used one on Ebay because I hate applying stickers.
It's always worth checking out Ebay first, but be careful. Sometimes sellers aren't the most... "transparent" about their items. (Sometimes not showing damage, etc)
Kyle I got my beginners shamisen it came last week thursday
Yaaay! I'm so happy it arrived safely! :-D
Yeah! It's looks nice! How much it cost? I would like to have one.
Thanks, Jose! It's $300, plus shipping. Check it out here! :) - bachido.com/products/beginner-shamisen
Kyle Abbott thanks a lot! :D
It's the cheaper option to introduce to the shamisen.
What more else i need for play the shamisen? I'm really interested in.
Sorry for my bad english.
Greets!
Jose Javier Aranda
Your english is great! :)
I would recommend nagauta strings, neo, koma, yubikake and bachi. all of that can be found at the Bachido Store. :) (bachido.com/products)
Kyle where can I get a beginner shamisen from I would like to learn how to play it
Hi Parin! The Beginner's Shamisen is available here! :-) - bachido.com/store/beginner-shamisen
Hello! How long is the cord which is knotted and holding the strings opposite the pegs? Please:)
Hi! It is roughly 2 meters long. :)
No strings and neo? (Or do you have to buy them separately?)
Correct, they have to be purchased separately, as we buy it direct from the maker who doesn't include accessories.
Kyle Abbott oh ok 👌I saw a shamisen on eBay (no skin cut) it comes with accessories and it’s used tho I might get it ;)
If it looks in good condition, go for it! :-)
Where did you buy that
Here it is :-) bachido.com/store/beginner-shamisen
Is it a cyuzao?
That is Hosozao.
i dont see any notches on the tuners
Oh whoops! The maker must have forgotten to cut the notches into the itomaki (tuners). :-( I'm sorry about that! You can still fit them in pretty easily though. The itomaki with a hole closer to the middle of the peg (relative to the other two) will go on top. Then, try fitting the other two in the lower holes. If they fit smooth and tight, then it's meant to be. If it seems wobbly or doesn't fit well, then simply switch them.
its not a tsugaru?😢
@Sherium_ You can play tsugaru style on it, but it's technically a different size of shamisen (hosozao) not usually associated with tsugaru style. Then again, the founders of the tsugaru style would use shamisen like this before "Tsugaru Shamisen" became a marketed coined style in the 1970s. :)
Wait so it doesn't come with the string?
Correct. The shamisen comes direct from the maker. Makers usually don't include accessories because people have different choices of string thickness, so the retailer or customer chooses their own. We have a Beginners Shamisen Accessory Set on the website which includes all the proper strings and accessories. :)
@@TsugaruShamisen Thank you
Nice, but where's the poor people's shamisen?
Excellent question! I hope to make more Shamibuddy (my handmade entry-level shamisen) in the beginning of 2021, so they should be available by the end of that year! :) - bachido.com/store/shamibuddy
@@TsugaruShamisen Bachido Store ship to Brazil? (Not counting customs tariffs)
@@neroclaudius7573 Yes, I does! :-)
@@TsugaruShamisen Does it ship to Bosnia?
@@MegaChaos91I checked the Japan Post shipping service, and unfortunately it doesn't ship to Bosnia. I'm sorry. :-(
I want one so bad.
Out of curiosity what about stringing and the rest of the assembly? Will I need to order a Neo as well?
Oh yes, the full assembly process is shown in my free online crash course - bachido.com/school/crash-course-1/chapter-1
(Soon I will make a new video to show the full assembly process on youtube :) )
Correct, a Neo would be needed as well, and that's available in the Beginner's Shamisen Accessory Set (below the paypal buttons on the Beginner's Shamisen page) Please let me know if you have any other questions! :-)
