It`s a very charming little city, spread out over several islands. As a guy from Aalesund, my only regret is i haven`t been there more than twice. It`s a rather sleepy town tbh and not a big tourist destination compared to Aalesund or Trondheim.
Thank you 😊👍 As far as I know, cities on the West Coast of Norway, like Bergen and Stavanger have the most moderate weather condition, more rainfall, and wind, which means they do not experience snowing a lot. Trondheim, of course, has the highest snowfall compared to Kristiansund and Bergen. I hope it helps 😊
Aside from most people who is kind and quirky in general, i cant find a single great thing about the city central. -empty storefronts on the boardwalk. -Horrible arcitecture with cheap, gray and lifeless buildings (the city was leveled during ww2) -big parts of the outskirts of the city are close to ghettoes. We dont have a lot of that in norway, but Kristiansund comes close with a lot of torn down neighbourhoods. -very few good restaurant. For the most part its fast food. This city love average tasting pizza and kebab. -very light on culture (concerts, plays etc) and nightlife. -a lot of drug and alcohol abuse. That being said; the surrounding areas are beautiful. There is mountains rising from the sea, big green fields and thick forrests with a lot of wildlife, barries and mushrooms. So come for the scenery, but dont expect anything great from the city center.

Horrible city. Deserted and ugly. Avoid at all cost.
Sincerly, resident.
Not agree with you at all 😊 but thanks for your comment.
