"Stortingsgata" is a street in central Oslo that stretches from "Wessels Plass" by the Stortings building to "Henrik Ibsens gate" by "Slottsparken". It got its current name in 1865, the year before the Storting building was inaugurated, it was called "Drammensveien". "Stortingsgata" is a significant business and entertainment district as well as a main artery for public transport. The south side is dominated by shops, restaurants and hotels.
"Prinsens gate" is a street in "Kvadraturen" in the city center of Oslo. It runs parallel to "Karl Johans gate". This street, which is just over 600 meters long, is and always has been one of the most important business streets in the city. Most of the east-west tram routes in the city center pass-through "Prinsens gate" in both directions. The area has also got several hotels & up along "Prinsens gate", there have been a number of pubs over the years, some of which have a central place in the city's social history.
