I believe there are 2 vocalists in Rottengrafty, so Mayu dressed differently for each vocalist. I think I have only watched the original video once, but knowing Nemophila there is a good possibility one of them is dressed with a hat and a hoody in their video. Also, that vocal effect is in the original as well.
They did a tour where they were the opening act for other bands. So they did covers of those bands. When they appeared with Loudness two of the Loudness members joined them for a song.
Plus Mayu had a baby last year. And Tamu has two toddlers (Murata is her last name, but in Japan it's last name, first name). They did their first US festival and had a gig at the Whiskey-a-go-go in LA. Big year for them
One of the collab tracks they did with eventually six Japanese legend bands to promote their Zepp two-man Tiger Hole concert series they did with each of them. That series on the back of REVIVE launched them straight to the top. 🌸✨🌠

Haraguchi-san doing her best Cousin Itt impersonation! 🤘🤘🤘 The misunderstanding of mayu covering both vocalists is a serious compliment to her skill! The changes in the original are more disjointed, and Nemophila brought more consistency.
These girls have progressed so much in the last 2 years, NOW approaching the level of BandMaid and Lovebites! I was initially attracted to this band because of Murata Tamu (drummer), and like most other All Female Japanese Bands, all the musicians in all these bands are awesome in their own rights! (oops... I actually wrote this 3 seconds before you paused it and said basically the same thing. How did each of our halves of our brain figure this out on their own....LOL Hmmm).
I personally like some of their covers more than their original work ahahah You can always see how much fun they have, and when they are together, they always laugh and smile!!
These girls certainly headbang much harder than most for sure! Wouldn't it be the most epic performance for Nemophila and the Somas (KANAIYOYOKA) to headbang on stage together to "Killing In The Name Of" at the Fuji Rock Festival ! It would be so funny to see Rie, Shido and Maya all together rockin' hard, with YOYOKA and Murata Tamu in the back smiling at each other and simply killin'. it!
Hey Wave. Nice one 👍. The original is for years now on my "Best of Japan"" playlist. But i always had some minor issues with the odd electronics in the song. Nemophila eliminated nearly all of that and therefore i like this cover much more. So it's even more a great party punk metal fun song 😁🤘🍻
You need to hear the original MV to understand why MAYU loved ROTTEN GRAFFTY, and to appreciate how good NEMOPHILA’s cover is. And have you watched their cover of ONE NIGHT CARNIVAL?
